"Anytime there are castles involved in a story, women are being locked somewhere." Wow what a powerful line. I have loved Kristen since I was a teenager and had a poster of her on my wall of her flipping the bird with her black nail polish and black mullet, so when people walked into my room they were just being flipped off by Kristen Stewart. She felt like a physical representation of the angst, inner turmoil, anger and revolt I felt as a young girl. So many of her early indie films are the ones that have still stuck with me through adulthood life; Speak, Welcome to the Rileys, Fierce People, In the Land of Women, Adventureland, Equals and obviously Panic Room which wasn’t a small indie but still one of the best thrillers. She really encapsulates such a specific phase/time in my life!

Agree, but even in Twilight her acting matched the books' energy. Bella does come across as an unlikable, pick-me girl, with an I'm-just-weird-that-way-and-not-like-anyone-else teenager vibe
@ItsmeSuellen10 ай бұрын
I used to think she wasn’t a good actress until I read the books again after 15 years. She really caught Bella’s personality and played exactly how the character was described. In the movies we don’t get all the details, so it seems like she didn’t perform according to the books. But she nailed it, for sure! And before this work, she was highly praised for her performance in “Panic Room”. Twilight’s script itself was the problem, not her acting.

@ItsmeSuellen10 ай бұрын
@K.C-2049 I mean the context of the characters. For example: in the book, Bella is strong and emotional at the same time. In the movie, she is silent and less expressive. It's not about Kristen's performance, but rather the lines adapted to her role. Btw, I love the movies and the books.

Spencer was the WORST MOVIE ever made. It literally destroyed the image of an icon like princess diana. If this was her attempt to intentionally sabotage princess diana, she did a good job doing that. That’s why Jessica chastain outperformed Stewart’s wannabe version of the princess of wales. Hopefully she can win her role as best actress. Just not another movie as the princess of wales. Maybe the new queen Camilla. But not Diana.

I found it interesting that, for the Snow White quote, she knew it was said in an accent before she clicked on the movie.

I remember interviews where she's visibly anxious. So happy to see her gain confidence and being present, brings out the fun that I bet was always there. As a kid, love her in Catch That Kid and Panic Room.

As someone who loved the movie since 2019, and hated how it was treated after Disney bought out 20th Century Fox, I am SO HAPPY that Underwater is receiving a new life.🙌🏼 Kristen should definitely be seen as an action star, as well as all of her other abilities. I just love her.

I was hoping to see Adventureland. Loved her character Em and the 80s atmosphere.

Big respect for what she said about Angels, you can't beat early 2000s Angels. That 2000s version is not even the original (original Angels was the '70s one) but it was really perfected in that movie. Maybe Totally Spies is a good offshoot in some way.

In Kristen Stewart we trust. It's amazing to see where she is currently coming from such a mega-franchise that was Twilight. Even though she still is somehwat underestimated or over-looked compared to others in the field, she picks pretty spcific movie, which adds uniqueness to her as an actress. Especially something so bold as Crime of the Future.

☹I feel that I might be the only one that gets so upset when in these kinds of interviews nobody mentions her movie “Speak”. She was amazing in it and the movie it-self is amazing.

I was upset Speak and Panic Room weren't in there.

Yeah, Speak was a great movie. She’s really talented. Never really said a word through like movie but her face and emotions as the character spoke volumes

It is such a sight to see how Kristen has grown so much in her craft. Seeing how her mind works, behind an in front of the camera. Her excitement for all aspects of the film is seen on her face. She speaks so openly about each of her lines in the movies.

Me realizing I haven’t given this woman a fair chance since her Twilight days. She has really grown into herself and has become comfortable with who she is. Looks like I’m going on a Kristen Stewart binge today

Her chemistry with the cast was actually pretty decent, such a shame that the material was bad
