When my brother was six, he had to come to school dressed as a famous English person. My parents dressed him up as the Sex Pistols. Imagine the look on their faces when that appeared amongst the David Beckhams at a posh British school. Not all of his teachers appreciated it but those that did loved it.

Steve Jones is one of the most underrated lead guitarist s ever. He's a real musician. Actually he and Cook (Drummer) could hold their own in any company. Vicious couldn't play a note, though Matlock (original bass guitarist) was excellent.

I’ve grown away from punk musically as I’ve become an old fart, but it’s impossible to move away from what this means. I was 12 when it came out, and I saw how terrifying something as simple as the truth can be to people who won’t face up to it. It’s the best and most important record released in Britain in my lifetime. People are, I hope, finally about to wake up, even if they don’t know it yet.
