That vocal delivery is unparalleled. What I love about the Pistols is that they were all in 100%. And only needed one album to do it.

Then The Pistols took rock back to the basics and I loved them. When Punk first came on the scene in the 1970's, I thought it was a joke. I had listened to a lot of progressive rock and underground rock. I got a job at a music store selling audio, video, car stereo and musical instruments. One evening a co-worker of mine who was in a local punk band played this album. It hit me like a fucking sledgehammer. Primal, raw, and fierce, like original rock and roll was meant to be. Punk came at the right time, when disco was beginning to populate the airwaves.

I was thinking about this last night... So, if you were to eat human flesh, would it taste good or bad? That's why I think it's really important. So, there are animals that are carnivores, right? You know, like lions, cats, and vultures. You won't find meat from carnivores like that at a restaurant. Why is that? Because it's too smelly to eat! It's disgusting! Listen up, guys! Cats are too disgusting to eat. Are we on the same page so far? On the other hand, have you heard of a fish called "sweetfish"? Sweetfish don't eat bugs. They only eat algae. They're vegetarian. Usually, fish guts are too bitter to eat, but sweetfish guts are delicious. It's because they're not carnivores. So with that logic in mind, all the meat we consider delicious is from herbivorous animals! Cows, pigs, and chickens! The better their feed, the better they taste! Which leads us to this conclusion... Humans would taste gross because they eat meat! Well? How do you like the opinion I came up with? That whole thing that comes up in novels about human flesh tasting good is a flat-out lie!

The The d Sid was just a face for the band.. He couldn't play bass to save his life... Glen Matlock was the original bass player... Poor Simon Ritchie ... Tragic life and death.. His mother killed him with an overdose of heroin after he killed his girlfriend m Nancy spongeone.

I was around in '77 16 years old and just left school, and into the punk scene, managing to see most of the major players - including the pistols. My take on it is that Sid was an idiot. And that the pistols after John left became as shit as the Ramones.

@F This is so true. Justin usually just comments on anime or meme videos, he never comments on music videos unless Jojo has referenced them. It's quite sad that kids have learned about real music from some anime that they should have learned about before.

When everybody thought they could be a PUNK band to, but no one could. That's how fucking brilliant they were. Their short existence and the one album only made that greater. They had no chance to become bad. The rest is history. Most iconic momentum in ROCK history. The SEX Pistols. Thanks for letting me believe I could be like that. Still do!

Released in October 1977! I can`t believe it`s so long ago now. You can keep you crappy modern so-called-punk. These originals still have edge. Ground breaking music, and in the charts! Long live real music

+Arvid Atsinch I'm from Manchester. I had no clue about New York or anywhere else when I first heard this. Sadly I wasn't at the legendary Free Trade Hall Concert, but I knew people who were, and the next day that music was all over the city. I'm not a hipster, never have been, and I'd have had to have been obsessed with music to have heard obscure tunes from half way across the world. If you do your research, you'll know that Johnny Rotten and the others had no clue either. No Internet, either.
@wylier7 жыл бұрын
The guitar part was lifted from the Jam's "In the City". Most of the other stuff this band did was original, save for the chord progressions of "Sub-mission" (has it's roots in Kinks number "All Day and All of the Night").
