Wrong, you're WAY off. "Boy band" is a modern dancepop concept, nothing to do with the Pistols or how they formed. Care to learn the ACTUAL history? The Pistols were originally self-formed in 1972 by Steve Jones and Paul Cook - band members - and their mate Wally Nightingale. Bassist and songwriter Glen Matlock joined in '73 and John Lydon in '75. The term "boy band" didn't even exist until the nineties. Nothing to do with manufactured dancepop groups.
