They did say that they caught 10 of the guys looking to sleep with underage minors and that they caught a couple of traffickers, with a 16 and a 17 yr old with them, who were released to their parents' custody.

Disturbing is seeing your previous employer on the news because he bought a dog on Craigslist, so he and his friend could watch it fuck his wife. They were Mormons with two kids. They were one of those couples that you would never think would end up together, i.e. she was kinda out of his league. This is one of those crimes where as long as both parties are consenting and not being forced via, drugs, pimps, etc, who the hell cares? Its already legal in certain parts of the world and the US. I think the laws are in place to attempt to deter sex trafficking, kidnapping, etc. Obviously, the law being in place doesn't stop any of those things from happening, but I believe that's why they have the laws. But, yes, money being exchanged between consenting adults shouldn't be something that police and politicians waste their time on.

People are asking what the issue is but I thought of a few. 1: It may not be common, but certain people are willing to kill prostitutes as to not pay. 2: The sex worker could get kidnapped. 3: Their potential customers may have HIV and not tell her, unwittingly infecting other people.
