The body shape thing makes sense because it's similar in people. Men have proportionally smaller hips etc. Thanks for the vid, I'm getting my first BTS tomorrow :]

In my (limited - I make no claims on being ANY sort of 'expert') experience - and this applies to 'Eastern' Blue tongues specifically - Males will have a larger, more angular head, but s smaller body, whereas females will have a smaller and 'softer shaped' head, but be larger overall. Like I said, this is 'Easterns', but I've found it to be accurate for Easterns in distinctly different regions (Central Victoria, and East Gippsland).

fantastic video! this was very informative. I've been so intrigued with bts for quite a while now and am finally going to be bringing one of these buddies home soon. I live in Canada and they haven't buzzed up in popularity as of yet but as its starting to boom within the last few years in the states, Canada is sure to follow. I would love to get into breeding somewhere down the road so it's wonderful to know there are actually quite a few ways to sex your bts. thanks for all the info!
