On this app (TikTok/musically) there was these men who get msg me saying “OMG your so pretty date me” “your so beautiful” “😍” I was 10 at the time and one of those people were around my age He was 11 and he kept msg me trying to persuade me to date him. I never told my parents I was too embarrassed 😞. I told him to stop messaging me because I don’t like him and to leave me alone Apparently I “hurt him” but I didn’t care I wanted him to leave me alone Looking back, I kinda wish I told my parents..

Although this video may not be presented in the best possible manor, the point of it is very just. I am currently living and dealing with sexual and emotional trauma from someone who groomed me in a similar way to the story, for two years. I struggle to function but I am healing. I would hate to see the same thing happen to someone else.

@@jam_111 yes, it does. Grooming doesn't just apply to small children, it applies anyone. If you fear that you are becoming a victim of sexual grooming please tell your parents / guardians or the police if the person wants to "meet up" or is asking for sex

@@jelliedoghey I'm really glad to hear ur in a safe place but uhm I think when I was 13 years old, I was groomed online. However, i deleted the app in order to get away from him, and therefore the conversations were deleted, he also lived in America as well which means they probably can't do anything about it bc I live in the UK. So I have no proof of this grooming ever happening and even if I did I wouldn't want my groomer to get in trouble. But I think I need help from this experience because I'm petrified of him everywhere I go and I always feel like he's watching me. Do you think if I tell my therapist they will tell the police/my parents? Because I really don't want that to happen I just want to get some mental help and to overcome this fear of my past groomer. Sorry if this is too big of a question to ask you but I just really don't know anybody else to ask, but if you really don't want to answer the question don't worry about it
