@Mithzan I think Sword-1 (the robot) is designed to attack enemy mobs. What I believe happened was, you went to the corridor where the Pjonk Goose was, Sword-1 saw said Goose and immediately went into attack mode and tried to blast it. You just happened to be in the path of the attack.

DQOTD: Beyond the novelty, I can't think of a reason why I would want one. Personal robots come in 3 flavors: Servant, Input/Output, Companion. All 3 require varying levels of realism to be useful, but not so real it feels like slavery (minus companion of course, but that's a whole new moral dilema). I/O in particular would be a challenge. Designers would have to come up with something that stops juuuuuust short from cliff diving into the uncanny valley (We've seen how creepy modern dolls look.)
