That's one crazy transport!! I'm getting seasick just watching it. Can only imagine what it was like on the open water. Thanks for posting it. The Super 8 color looks great.

Respekt! - tolles Video - und es war sicher nicht das einzige Abenteuer auf der Reise. Zu der Zeit waren Kameras nur selten an Bord und das Material teuer. Eine solche Überfahrt wird auch in Büchern noch aus Anfang der 80er genau beschrieben: "2 Jahre mit dem VW-Bus um die Welt", Herb Stumpf (unterwegs mit einem Hochdach T2b)...

Platform type 1 is the beetle. Platform type 2 is the bus. Each platform then has the different incarnations named Type 1 (T1), Type 2 (T2) etc. So technically since he states it is a bus (Type 2) and it is the first bus, he is correct in that it is a bus, T1. To be more specific, it is a Type 2 T1. I know. Completely logical, right? Personally I drive a Type 2 T3, in UK referred to as the T25 just to make it even more interesting.
