I feel that just as I need Bach's music, I needed an interpretation like yours. I never listened this way of playing... So humble which elegance. A type of work which must necessarily be born from a silence and a pure soul as clear as your music. Original, natural and elegant, that can only endure in time. Your exquisite control of tempo, volume and voice kept me with the wonder and atonishment of a child when a father read to him a story, creating this intimate atmosphere from the beginning to the end of the piece. Reaching my heart and filling it with amplitude, true love and humble. Very Special. Thank you very much! Cordial greetings, Irene

How perfectly paired is your performance of Bach with the majestic ocean and your startlingly beautiful Surroundings. I am so very happy that this is yours to enjoy with your darling companions. Though they are diminutive they are no less wonderful. How very lucky we are to be capable of experiencing all the gifts the Universe provides and to connect with kindred spirits. I’m so grateful for your inclination to graciously share your gifts.

Thank you Mr Bernstein for this gift. Listening to this performance (I must avoid saying "your interpretation") it seems I understand this music better. I believe musicians, especially pianists, sing or speak music to us through their instrument. Often pianists move their lips and nearly always the music is visible on their face. Mikhail Pletnev a rare exception, though his playing lacks nothing.

Hi Seymour, thanks for sharing your music and your experience with us. I'm learning piano from one of your students. He mentions you sometimes in his teaching. I've been playing a lot of Bach recently. This piece is very special. I love the way you played it. Take care and look forward to hearing more of your playing here on KZbin.

I love your Bach. My piano teacher studied with Siloti at Julliard (many years ago). Her name was Edith Knox. I think your playing is the best along with Rosina Lhevinne. So beautiful. I wish I had discovered you earlier.

Hello Seymour, this is so unimaginable beautiful....your understanding of music and all the connections it has with nature. My daughter is only 8 years old...she started playing piano at 5 The second piece I taught her was an Allegretto from Bach...yesterday she won the young talent price with Le Cygne (Saint Saense). I really hope she will ever have the same musical understanding as you have. You are a diamond for classical piano music. With love from us from Holland. Maurice

I was just last night thinking about my connection with music, and find your words couldn't better express how I too feel about it. Thank you for sharing. As well, there's something about how the post romantic/russian soul marries Bach with the piano and creates something both towering and resonant in a way that I imagine Bach himself would have been very pleased with. I love your pianistic effect here, particularly the pedalling, and was moved. When was this recorded? It sounds as if from a hall.

Michael, I cannot tell you in words how deeply moved I am by reading nyour response to my performance.IN truth, I'm not suprised, because ni working nwith you I discovered that you and I are kindrd spirits. By the way I added reverb and chose organ from the options. That's why it appers as though I recorded it in a hall. Heartfelt thanks andn love toy uo for writing such a deep and personal response to my performance. Seymour
