The Nazgul sounds so filthy. Always loved the bite and fullness they have. Sick playing as always, my dude.

Thank you so much! Yeah, it has a certain raunch that you don't get from many other pickups. Definitely an awesome upgrade!

I had a set of these in a 7 string at one point and loved the way they sounded before I sold the guitar they were in (to which I sometimes deeply regret because those pickups were incredible 😂), but I kinda also wanna try a set of Guitarmory Atlas pickups with a ceramic bridge and an Alnico 5 neck and see what kind of results I’ll get. 🤔 The Guitarmory Atlas pickup set is really cool and I would love to snag a set, but I often think about how the Nazgül has that very warm midrange character in comparison to other high output pickups, and it also leaves me missing the way the Sentient sounds in the neck, especially whenever it came to playing leads, it was the perfect blend of treble-rich, yet smooth and buttery. The sentient honestly seems like the perfect shredder’s neck pickup.

I checked out 3 of your videos so far. They're quality! So I subscribed. It's surprising you have so few subscribers... But at least that probably means it's easier for you to stay in touch with your fans! :) Rock on \,,/

I have this exact guitar and am trying to decide what to put in it. The EMG is crap and I'm wanting a bit more bottom end with crushing mids, this seems a pretty choice!!

HA! I was partial to the stock EMG HZ in there at first, not wanting to switch it out due to stubbornness. Man am I glad I did! The nazgul is like the perfect pure attitude pickup. There's a nice snarl to the lower rhythms and the leads aren't shrilly. So much more life than the stock emg pup. The only other consideration that I would look for would be the Omega (Mark Holcomb sig). It's awesome and clear but unfortunately not sold individually, I don't think at least

Hey!! Thanks for the reply. So I got a Nazgul and installed it. You find you have to dial the treble back quite a way as there's a LOT of attack? Plenty of mids like I wanted though and a super bottom end! Awesome pickup, just a little more attack than I was expecting! Also, the omega is available as a six string single bridge pickup now.

alancordner21 Awesome! Yeah I noticed that too but it can be tamed easily. The low end is punchy but not woofy which I love. I've tried the PRS Mark H sig with the 6 string versions and they really killer

Hello! Amazing tone and awesome playing technique! Do you use Nazgul humbacker or trembucker? Is there real difference for guitar with floyd rose?

nice tone, which pickup do you prefer for metal? the nazgul or the deathbucker? why?
@DanCapeau6 жыл бұрын
Gustavo Rojas thank you! Personally I like the Nazgul better because it’s not as harsh in the high frequencies. It’s for sure my favorite passive pickup I’ve played for metal
@eddiem48687 жыл бұрын
do you think this pick up would sound better than the emg81?
@DanCapeau7 жыл бұрын
Yes, without a doubt. Better than a 57 I'm not sure because I'm really loving my 57 right now but the Nazgul is definitely better than a regular 81; more clarity and more note definition (not to mention passive too)
@bernieorbust61047 жыл бұрын
Ed Moreno Depends. EMG is tighter, less noisy, and can handle big chorda better. Nazgul sounds nasty for power chord and single note riffs.
