The Nazgul is my favorite metal pickup. I like the Deathbuckers BUT if I had to choose, I would pick the Nazgul every single time

This is great I love this song. For the verse riff, are you chugging the bass note 2 or 3 times. Like a double chug or a triplet at the start of each bar

Thank you! When the vocals come in I play just double chugs and then 1 chug per moving note. The intro riffs are the only time I play triplets

This is amazing. Question since you seem very knowledgeable, I play in multiple cover bands playing everything from My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy, to Children Of Bodom and Nightwish. If I’m looking for a do it all rig where I can just download the tones of the artists I want, plug and play, do I have to buy a $1200 Helix Floor, or will a $600 HX Stomp suffice? I also plan on using a dedicated Digi-Drop for tuning changes as well of course.

Thank you very much! I would say yes but you have to dial in tones specific to these pickups. Most presets and amp settings will have to be tweaked for them to sound great but when you do, the tone is unique and worth the extra time spent shaping the tone

ok I tried Reacontrol, couldn't get it working tonight, but I was able to delete reacontrol and press record and select a patch, the funny thin is the "Program control change" "69 Hold pedal 2" and Bank show up, BUT when I record only the patch will change not the snapshot. to late , will start again tomorrow, maybe try reacontrol again, Helix AND Reaper both have be updated a few time already since this video.

I had a set of these in a 7 string at one point and loved the way they sounded before I sold the guitar they were in (to which I sometimes deeply regret because those pickups were incredible 😂), but I kinda also wanna try a set of Guitarmory Atlas pickups with a ceramic bridge and an Alnico 5 neck and see what kind of results I’ll get. 🤔 The Guitarmory Atlas pickup set is really cool and I would love to snag a set, but I often think about how the Nazgül has that very warm midrange character in comparison to other high output pickups, and it also leaves me missing the way the Sentient sounds in the neck, especially whenever it came to playing leads, it was the perfect blend of treble-rich, yet smooth and buttery. The sentient honestly seems like the perfect shredder’s neck pickup.

One important step...don't forget to set up the helix in the 'MIDI devices' section of the preferences and enable output. On the track, set a MIDI hardware output to the helix and check that the send to channel in reaper matches the base channel of the helix midi options

I installed this but it Sounds very bad. Especially on the Palm Muted low String. 😢 Anyone an idea what could be the problem. Pretty sure I have done something wrong.

It's very possible that the Impulse Response isn't loading correctly. I would say make sure that the IR Select number is the same number where you've placed the IR that's included in the video description
