I can hear a small tiny difference between the sustain and the crunchiness of the tone but not much to compare. Both sounded amazing! Keep up the good work man! :) Oh,also nice Mocking Bird

Very good Comparison. I'd still have trouble choosing between them cause both sound good to me. Btw, your playing isnt sloppy here at all but quite good.

I use both sets of pickups and tend to favor the hb103 in the bridge for having a tighter low end.

A lot can we tweaked with pickup height adjustment but I say the DDs are on par with Dimarzio and JB,Jazz, 59, and Pearly Gates SDs are in a class of their own.

So happy i found this. The Jazz sounds way better than the stock neck oick up but the JB and the DD bridge sound similar but the jb seems to be a bit cleaner

The Duncan designed pickups seem brighter. Especially the neck pickup has a bright edge on it, almost like an Air Norton. TB-4 bridge pickup sounds warmer and more balanced than the Duncan designed version.

but the HB-103 is the version of the SD Distorsion (sh-6) not the TB-4, the TB-4 is an alnico V pickup while both the HB-103 and SD distorsion are ceramic pickups, what you heard is the main difference between ceramic and alnico V pickups :)

Nice Gtr w/the tone selector knob w/all the switches …. & skunk stripes too!

Sound both very nice, but Jb and Jazz are the perfect couple! 👌

Best combo of pickups there is imo!! So much depth, harmonic nuances, and sustain for days. They are great for 'blues metal' or 'psychedelic progressive metal'... the bridge pickup sings with unmatched clarity under all the gain lol, also deals with crunch and distortion better than some of the super super hot pickups of the modern age even. Maybe due to the perfect balance and amazing tone while also maintaining depth and brightness no matter how low or dark the rest of the motes are. Cuts through a mix perfectly. And the neck pickup is perfect for low tuned progressive riffs or super fuzzy blues metal licks and rhythm too. I would pick these over any other combo, and I've tried many since the age of 11, I'm nearly 30! These pickups do whatever you want them to do. Even split coil they sound so authentic and wouldn't know it was a humbucker. I could hear way more harmonics dancing around the notes being played on the SD's compared to the DD's - though the DDs are great, they don't have the tone or the time spent perfecting that and also all the other important things that went into the TB4 and the Sh2n... they were a masterpiece and bookmarked themselves forever by their injection into guitar, and rock history!

Hi there, from what song is the lick at 3:40? I know I've heard that before, but I can't recall. Love to hear from you. Thanks.

Thought I'd put this on the latest video, but if you do another clean riffs vid, Never Meant by American Football is incredible - both guitars sound fantastic. Only issue might be tunings, they're quite unusual.

Great suggestion for a clean test. Fantastic songs with a perfect combination or notes to hear the quality of the instrument!

I’d prolly buy that with a Floyd on it and play a lot of Maiden and quiet riot on that.

I will probably buy a squier vintage modified, these come with duncan designed by default, and I will have a guitar to "battle" and even to lend to a friend.
