Seymour Duncan Twang Banger Strat pickup in the bridge position of an American Professional II Strat

This seems like a much better bridge pickup alternative than a single coil sized humbucker. It doesn’t 100% sound like a tele but it has a much nicer tone than the stock strat bridge. Might be picking one of these up

Great clean tones and groove-feel there Julian!and pick ups all sounding balanced - what would you ask of the tech? Ie if taking to a local tech what should I make sure he does? Lovely amp cleans too, what amp is it, please ?

If you’re installing the Twang Banger, they may have to reverse the wiring. As far as general maintenance, I usually get the tech to put in new strings and check the action and intonation. I float the bridge 1/8” off the body and get the action as low as possible without buzzing. I use 10 gauge strings. I’m using a Fender Mustang LT50 in this video but I gig with a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe.

Did you have any issue with the twang banger being out of phase with the fender pickup in the middle position? I've heard that Seymour Duncan and Fender pickups are usually opposites, but they don't seem to offer a RWRP twang banger?

Yes, this was an issue, but my guitar tech was able to fix it.
