You know Akuma needs more options and combo routes in general added to him, when two of the best players in the world play the character exactly the same way. If you swapped the names around, nobody would see the difference, apart from Daigo loving that wake up DP.

Akuma is an incredibly strong character with the some of the most diverse options in the game though, it's just a case of playing for optimization/consistency Not to mention a lot of oldhead japanese players just end up playing very similarly
