Imagine if you could just frame input when drinking to either get an extra charge or cancel recovery to get better oki. I feel like that would add a skill component to making jamie a stronger character.

I hope I'm wrong, but jamie is just a play-for-fun character, and daigo knows that.. I'm pretty sure that daigo doesn't give a shit about competitive sf6 anymore so he's just chilling to keep his audience entertained 😮 .. I really hope he's back seriously to the scene and win a major with a serious char..

@@MichaelHarto He play Jamie like grappler and this one can grab to super arts. we don’t see other use It much before. Even Jamie guide (pre-buff) usually said they should play with only 1-2 drinks. Command grab is too hard to unlock at that time. He knows that It scale will drop to 50% after 2nd hit after command grab. So best case is just SA3 or short heavy combo.

Unlike other top Jamie players who utilize complex combos, Daigo looks incredibly strong without doing any of that. Perhaps his reads are just too sharp? I'd like him to try using JP or DEEJAY, though I doubt Daigo would, given his personality though.

It feels Jamie really fits Daigo, playing Jamie feels satisfy by punishing enemy progressively(with drinks and increasing damage) and has tons of tools to deal with different types of characters. I see Daigo really likes Jamie command grab and 4th's drinks basic heavy's variation(hard to punish, hard to guess).

Ryu still doesn't have it. The little 2 pc 3 hit combos don't do it. You have to use DR and all the decent combos sent you across the screen.

Daigo is cool and all but i honestly hate it when people only decide to use characters after they're buffed. It was definitely much more exciting to watch vannila Jamie since you really had to optimize your play meanwhile buffed jamie just grabs 80% of the time for free drinks.

@@Hoodini1417 Because it's a thing competitive players do to get cheesy wins because they don't have to work hard anymore. Obviously in street fighter it's not really that bad because you still have to be generally good but the mindset of pretty much everyone that plays competitive games is that they avoid bad characters and flock to only the meta ones instead of learning how to deal with the downsides and be good regardless of the drawback. I know for the fact most ken players play him just because he's so easy and gets everything off of nothing
