you might be thinking of Drive Rush, it’s a special state that moves you forward and also let’s you perform normal attacks (not specials) and makes them easier to combo out of (adds +4 frames of hitstun)

Luke is definitely top 3 for driest characters in the game. Sure he has the perfect charge thing, but the applications are just combo extensions for the most part.

He ain't dry for MMA fans. I like his more brutal practical style (minus the fantasy forearm powers) of fighting. Kung Fu and traditional martial arts with fancy kicks, and jumps has always irritated me because in real life it's completely ineffective in an actual fight or MMA match. The reason MMA is so useful is because it uses the best aspects from all Martial Arts and fuses them together into the most practical applications. Judo is useless against a pro boxer, because the boxer will never let you grab them, and will destroy your stamina with strikes. Boxing is useless against a pro Muay Thai because the fighter will use the hardest parts of their body to break, and tenderize you. Muay Thai, and Boxing both get destroyed if a BJJ user is able to tackle you. The truth is that each Martial Art has it's ups and downs, but because they each have glaring flaws if somebody with no strike game goes against somebody with striking as their core they're going to get rocked. Fighting in a real fight always flows like this Movement -> Strike -> Pressure -> Takedown -> Disable. No ONE martial art provides all of these tools. MMA was the global fight intelligence coming together to fuse the worlds most effective fighting techniques. It's why Marisa is also basically just a brutal fighter, Pankration is just proto-MMA. Like it or not, we're past the days of the orientalism of Martial Arts. "Kung Fu" is dead. High kicks are impractical, and long combo punches do nothing against somebody who just grabs you. I love that we have an MMA fighter in Street Fighter, because it represents modern Martial Arts as it exists now. Instead of Karate hobo, and Karate 80's action rich dude. (who are both still there if you're stuck in that mindset) People just don't like the more raw gritty feel of MMA I guess.

@@robotoboy30 Not accurate his design is a huge improvement honestly from 5 all characters are. And he's sporting an mma gym wear hence the no shoes which suites him, seriously everyone fixative on his no shoes when he has an alternate outfit that has him wearing it and he's not the only fighter in SF6 that's barefoot. In the words of Micheal Jordon: "Stop it, get some help!"

Most of his combos are just short extensions off of Flash Punch. In fact his main BnB Link combo is just C. M. Punch, S. L. Kick, Uncharged L. Flash Punch (or OD into DDT for optimized damage, though I think you tack on a little extra with just the two hitter version) He's very simple. It's what makes him so nutty. He has to do very little to optimize damage. (He's the new Ryu after all) I like that about him, because it makes him very fun to play for somebody like me who doesn't want to have dial huge combos for decent damage. I can just dial a few confirms in and get good damage with fast buttons.
