Luke has some good, easy to pull off combos that feel good doing them on Classic controls. Once you figure out the main strings its pretty easy to string combos together and just play freely with him

FYI: You can cancel OD knuckle into level 2 as soon as the second hit of the knuckle hits. This will keep the same amount of damage, but it will make the combo a bit more consistent.

Thanks for the video guys, I admit Luke has really grown on me lately. The shoto and shoto like characters always seem to be the ones I gravitate to in fighting games.

This character is way cooler than I expected. I mostly play Juri but when luke came out in 5 I didn't care. But in 6 the perfect mechanics and just his playstyle is neat. Could maybe be a bit weaker since he's just very very strong but what a good design for a "new main character".

I am maybe stupid cause I am new to Street Fighter, but when I attempt the light combos into a DP motion the game is considering my input a level 1 super, is the only answer to do down forward instead of straight down? feels so awkward to me but I can try to learn. Edit: I am dumb, I always thought DP motion was 6236 X but its just 623 X. big stupid. Also I am bad with those air specials and found an alternate route for level 3 full drive spend combo, it actually seems to do about 50 damage more. I have no idea what his optimal stuff is, but if you want an easier cash out then the final combo here, mine was. Stand HP > DR > Back HK > Down HP > DR > Back HK > Down HP> (fully held / not perfect) QCB LP > (no charge) QCB MP > lvl 3

Optimal luke combos are super hard..props to Mir and Vesper for execution 😂

They are not hard . Not for a sf player anyway, literally minimal execution here

The only thing is the perfect timing, but the execution overall IS really easy for all character in sf6..

Are Guile combos considered hard? I'm a newbie and charge combos seem crazy to me

One complaint would be if you could show the button inputs on the left side so we can see how it'll look like with the timing and all. Since some combos require you to delay a certain move.

Since you moved back over to controller recently yourself I wanna ask if you have any tips on how to get out the double qcf motion for supers fast because cancelling into them seems to have a fairly tight window 😬.. Got any advice?

You can buffer the inputs so when you hit confirm a button you can hit the super.

@@DcMet4l Yup, I knew that. But there are combos where you have to cancel into super. Those are the links that make it super hard to me. One example is the intermediate 7 combo in Ryus combo trial. And it gets even harder: I saw Vesper Arcade cancel into a super from a light punch 0_o
