Fun fact: during the SF4 days Daigo tried Akuma and after a bit the Japanese players called him 'Nigehara' where the word 'nige' meaning here was for runaway. Akuma was able to do air fireballs jumping back at the time too. He plays the character in a super-safe mode, he's not afraid to be called lame for that.

I swear that fireball has 0 frame startup and instant half screen hitbox, recovering so fast even a good read won't make bakkai a punish. I watched 15 minutes hoping to see a proper counter strategy and found none.

Yeah, there isn't much you can do against a wellspaced fireball but PP and move closer.

OD bakkai into SA2 cancel is a legit strategy against zoners. But it has to be timed to when they release the fireball, or else you get blown up for it.

@luigiwiiUU I played with my friend the moment he got 3 drinks I got concerned. And then he drank the 4th drink, and I was like, "Oh no..." Jamie's attack with 4 drinks is insanely difficult to counter. He got that Yang's rising kick thingy and also can mix low and combo with mid combos, which makes it difficult to deal with. I dislike fighting my friend's Jamie a lot.

​@Cloudcolin yeah, at drink four, his low risk moves becomes even lower risk. I use Jamie and I also have a hard time knowing when to block at drink four. If you use a character with a fireball, that's usually your best option to ruin him. Do not worry too much about the command grab. It comes out on frame 8. It's kinda best to bait the command grab.

Gotta take what the opponent gives you. If they're being extremely defensive, that's the play a lot of the times. Perfect parry makes being offensive very dangerous in tight situations.

For me, this Daigo Akuma is so boring that kills all fun in the game. I got bored of looking at the same hadoken parry , hadoke parry hundreds of times. and after that, run and grab... fights at this level summarized.. are just lame.
