I mean, she still hits like a truck maybe she is not the definitive top tier but is a strong character, has some notable weakness tho

@@ELVazh13PM Marisa hits like a truck but the problem a lot of characters can unload and get similar damage while having attack and pressure options that can lead to that damage. Marisa is very restricted in her approach and because of that is vulnerable to being parried or countered. Plus her defense is rather weak while she is looking for an opening.

PS: I just noticed that all the shadows in Raging Demon are of outfit 1 akuma despite this akuma being outfit 2.

That’s how it is world tour too, if you use the raging demon with your avatar, you can still see akuma’s shadow

This is one of the first high level replays I've seen an Akuma use Raging Demon. in SF4/5 people seemed to use it all the time but in this game, at a higher level, it feels like it's very rarely used. This was a very good use of it tho

Probably both because Akuma has some quicker and more optimal meter uses throughout a match and, unlike SF4 and 5, there’s a lot less agency in a separate “comeback super” meter like 4 and a V-meter you could reliably build yourself.

It's a CA, so most of the time Akuma is dead before he even has a chance to use it if it would to that or ends up situational to the point of being obvious. Also it's not invincible, so scratch that as reversal.

@@lukdb I know Akuma is probably strong enough as it is. But I do think it should be invincible. If only because all level 3’s are! Sure it’s a grab but so? Manon/Lily/Akuma is a grab too. You can’t just jab them. Especially since it’s a CA only, just be ready to jump

The demon is just a weaker CA than his default CA that's why. It gained the ability to be combo'd into,but it can't combo if the opponent is in a juggle, sacrificing big damage that you can just get off of level 3 anyway. Not to mention it's recovery and start up are much worse,and he's vulnerable through the entire thing until he grabs you. It's gimmicky and useful in specific situations but that's it

My friend told me that Marisa does not have anti air so he can jump and attack her continously and also grab her in the corner. Is there any way for Marisa to counter jumping toward opponents? I had to think of many strategies but alas it was fruitless. Also he said that once a player is burnout he / she is dead. Can anyone refute that statement? If anyone can enlighten me I would appreciate it.

Yeah Marisa struggling with the anti airs a lot because of the fact that when the hitbox we want it to anti air is too slow, she doesn't have any reversal so yeah she's a free grab on character with the fact that her level 1 ALSO can get grabbed on and she can't even punish meaty grabs because her backdash is mad slow so her options against throw loops are VERY awful, and now since they nerfed her stance that it breaks DI and not absorbing it its much harder to fight in burnout now in defense cause before raw DI got them killed but not anymore

Akuma just sucks, that health nerf is too much without upping his damage, Marissa taking half health off one command grab while akuma hitting a combo does less than 20% Good marrisa player though
