Akuma is top 5 at absolute worst right now. Top 3 more likely, but hard to tell. He doesn't need buffs. His presence alone puts Gief up a tier because Gief actually has the tools to catch him now and makes the matchup extremely scary for Coomer who is going to have a pretty significant tournament presence.

I also think he should get a buff, because to me It looks like he loses the damage exchange from combos with almost every character because of his low health, so either give him a Little more health or a little more damage tò Better justify the low health. Another solution imo could be to give him back his zanku hadouken while jumping back so he can zone his opponent better

@@ThePageofCups For Akuma to be less than top tier is at odds with his presence with non Street Fighter franchises like Tekken and Marvel verse Capcom. To give other street fighter characters the capability to more easily beat Akuma is useless when you consider there is no character in Street Fighter that has been used to successfully defeat much more larger and seemingly much more powerful, non street fighter related opponents.

I believe capcom regrets creating ken and if not for his popularity would remove him from sf. They have gone out of their way to diminish his character to elevate ryu. The reason for him not being as competent as ryu or akuma has always been his lack of training due to his work and family. Now that he has the time and motivation to train and get stronger he is still shit upon storywise. Is it because he is s the American counterpart to ryu?? Or is that they just hate ken....

More like Akuma is going to get buffed, they really underestimated Akuma’s HP for SF6 considering all the options players have in this game. So, the only viable solution is to increase it. Zangief, Marisa, and Bison can deplete Akuma’s HP so quickly.
