I’ve played Akuma a decent amount since he came out. Compared to a lot of other combos you just have to be very precise/textbook with your input or it doesn’t come out. I do something like HK->st. MK-> drive rush -> forward HP->cr. HP-> adamant flame cancel lvl 3 a lot, but occasionally the cr. HP into heavy adamant flame just doesn’t come out. I honestly find it easier to do cr HP -> light tatsu into heavy shoryu cancel level 3 a lot of times, though it probably a bit less damage. I’ve never used the lingo to talk about combos before so my bad if I messed something up.

I think it's more that Daigo is a player that historically seeks to learn and counter his opponent, and Akuma gives him the most tools to this purpose. Versus Nemo's Blanka he was more defensive but against Ryu and Gief he's more oppressive.
