Thank you for showing the phaser banks under the saucer of the Constitution class ship. If you look at the old AMT model of Enterprise, those 3 small indentations , one in front, one on ether side were supposed to be phasers. The old technical manual even shows them. TOS budget only had phasers that fired out by the lower dome because it made use for stock footage. Great to see phaser blasts as well. Good video. " Well, ....those Klingons are dusted !!".

@@BilalMarcus there's no accounting for taste, haha. Seriously though, I like the Constitution Class refit a lot as well, but it's an evolution of the original design. The TOS Enterprise set the basic pattern (saucer and nacelles) for all the starships that came after it. The look is so original and so iconic.

THAT was fantastic! When the Enterprise showed up I cheered. That first barrage by the Enterprise was fantastic, and I loved how it transitioned from wide pulse to narrow beams as it got closer. Can you please teach the Star Trek Discovery and Picard SFX artists how to show action like this without stupid shaky cam?!

Nice SFB / FASA crossover with FASA Klingon L7 fast battlecruisers and FASA Federation frigate, in a video that uses SFC 2 (which is based on SFB) music. I created a model of the L7 for SFC 1, about 10 years ago, along with a few FASA Klingon starships, such as the K1 scout & E2 corvette.

Beautiful, but...well, that Bonaventure-class ship was pretty fast and agile for a ship that took that many direct phaser blasts to its impulse engines! Also, I never did see the pre-refit Enterprise fire phasers from anywhere other than the front of the ventral sensor dome...

Great animation, yet have to ask: where was the option to allow for surrender or disengagement? Yeah the fight started off with a 2-1 disadvantage, but then arriving Constitution immediately took one of the Klingons out of the fight. Then once both Fed ships took out the one remaining legitimate still engaging combatant, they seemingly swung around to destroy a ship unable to fight back. Starfleet - supposedly - isn't known for that kind of thing.

Klingons DON'T surrender. They could have warped away at any time, but they chose not to.

@@txbatman1md *Disabled ship.* It was both stationary and not firing back. The Feds leaving soon after shows that the location was unimportant, so they could have just done that. Klingons may not surrender but they will leave a fight they're loosing or lost if given the chance. And Starfleet tends to give that chance.

Is that a Phaser Cannon or a Photon Torpedo launcher firing those projectiles from the Enterprise? I don't recall cannons being mounted on a Constitution-Class; she usually only had Photon Torpedo Launchers and Phaser Beam Arrays.

The phaser arrays were capable of firing in pulses, if necessary. But only those mounted at the front of the saucer, iirc.

Really great video, but it's very STO-ish. In "Classic TV-Trek" Kirk would only have fought to disable, not hunt down and completely destroy. It wasn't until The Klingon's killed David in "The Search for Spock" that he became so intensely determined to wipe them out.

TOS Enterpise NCC-1701 does NOT have pulse phasers canons. Phasers are blue( good ) as well as the photon torpedoes( not red yet ). However, after Enterprise's refit and also the commissioning of NCC-1701-A have pulse phaser canons( red beams ) and red torpedoes. An inconsistency with the video but fun to watch. Great job! Thank you for posting. 😊

Here we go with the non-canon TOS starships with their glowing blue nacelles AGAIN. Fantastic animation, brilliantly done, only to be ruined by utterly illogical, unnecessary non-canonical and just plain silly design additions that have zero basis in Trek history. And yes... Star Trek: Enterprise violates this too.

Actually the enterprise was meant to have blue inner grills in tos. They didnt have the budget when building the already insanely expensive (for the time at least) model and it was deemed too difficult to do later.

@@HazelofStarfleet That’s odd. I have read nearly every book about the creation of the original series, listened to interviews with Matt Jeffries, Gene Coon, John M. Lucas, Freiberger and Roddenberry. They discussed at length the creation of the original Enterprise and none of them ever mentioned the desire to ever put glowing blue lights in the nacelles. If you have source material for this claim, I’d like to see it. Surely if they had the ability to create lighted red swirling Bussard ram scoops, they surely had the ability to put in simple blue lights. But they didn’t. No ship ever seen in TOS had them, not even when they upgraded the 1701 model. The desire to add these blue lights is just a fan-made wish to recreate the Enterprise in their own imagination, because it “looks cool.” Fine. But it’s just silly. It’s just as ridiculous as the horrific violation of canon the Discovery series is guilty of. If you’re going to add glowing blue nacelles to the TOS Enterprise, why not remove the navigational dish and put in a glowing amber recessed bowl and add big windows under the secondary hull? I mean- those would be just as silly as the blue nacelles. Discovery is not a valid prime universe Pike-era series. It’s an abomination. It’s illogical and disregards all prime legacy. It’s not consistent with previous series’ historic visits to that era and simply isn’t valid. It’s a pathetic reinvention of the whole franchise to attract younger viewers. By doing so, they have lost scores and scores of Trek fans around the world. Including me. You are free to create the TOS Enterprise with as many non-canon bells and whistles as you like. It’s just irritating that you do. Let’s give her four warp nacelles and a spore drive while we’re at it.
