Subhanallah sheikh you make perfect sense but some time some people need it simplified. What the sheik said is that the verse of the Quran in questions confirm that in their gospels are some truth. Meaning when something is corrupted it’s not necessary that every single word is corrupted. It can be said that in the gospels are some truthful statement. Example of corruption: I have come to uphold the law not change. Then the bible says that the law is not for the gentiles. We believe that Jesus said that I have come to uphold the law but we believe that the later statement is a corruption (simply because it contradicts the first statement which is also confirmed in the Quran

Theres a huge misunderstanding here that I seemed to have noticed. The man's questions is one of genuine concern. He's basically asking that if his scripture is wrong, and I come and consult you on a matter, what should I do? In this instant, the man really wanted to hear "I would advise you to come to Islam because it is the truth, and if you do, you will be ruled as a Muslim (not sure if the last point is correct) since your scriptures are wrong. If you do not think your scripture is wrong and you want to be rules by your scriptures, then you are free to do that." He wants to be directed to the truth, but the sheikh kept telling him "do what you want" "follow what you believe" for a lack of better words. Its like the man is accepting its corrupt but wants to know what to do as a result. He also seems to fail to understand that if he believes his scripture is false, then he shouldn't being following it in the first place and not getting rules by it, but by the qumran instead.

I think the sheikh should have asked him as follows: "Do you believe your scriptures are the truth? If yes: be ruled by your book If no: why do you even follow it? That's the shorthand way The long way is "Do you believe your scriptures are the truth?" If yes: again be ruled by them If no: Ask the question "if your scriptures are wrong, and my scripture is right, what do you think you should be ruled by?" If he says something like my scriptures, then he's choosing to follow something he knows is wrong, and as the quran says, he can be ruled by his scriptures. If he says your scriptures (quran), then he admits his religion is not the right one.

This brother is confusing himself! It is simple. Even the current legal system runs on this basis. I'll give an example, If I'm a known drug dealer, but the police in their desire to arrest me and see justice done, end up planting evidence on me. If this is discovered then the whole case gets thrown out!! Regardless if I'm a known drug dealer or not!! Why? Because a contamination to some, becomes a contamination to all!! Once we discover that some of the material is not trustable then the whole material becomes untrustworthy, because you cannot differentiate what is true and what is not!! Now the same goes for the Gospel (Injeel), once we discover that some of the text is corrupted, then we cannot trust the entire scripture, because we do not know what is trustworthy and what is not! I could go on about the contradictions, and literal evidence that the gospel had been corrupted, but that is another post altogether. So sensibly if you are a Christian in that situation the only logical thing would be to establish a criteria on how to filter what is true and what is not. The Quran is the criteria. If you send a text and the text gets corrupted, then clearly if you send a clarification memorandum to clarify what had been misunderstood, then the clarification memorandum takes precedence. Everything that came before it has to align with it or is dismissed.

If I have to start stating the discrepancies of the bible I'll be typing for days. I don't have that much time so I'll give you a few. 1) Erasmus- A biblical interpreter left out the doctrine of the trinity as it was not in the original Greek manuscript. He later changed and included it after pressure from society and a forgery brought to him. (Go look it up). 2)The role of Constantine in Christianity. The council of Nicaea and how they basically became the law makers of what stays in the bible and what goes. Not the prophet that brought the message. 3) The pagan elements three godheads in one. The birth of Christ coinciding with the birth of the pagan god Matthias. Like I said I could go on for days. You do the research. Now. I don't believe in the new testament. I believe its corrupted! So why would I care about if it mentions the prophet (PBUH) in it?! But since you asking Deuteronomy 18:18. Deuteronomy 33:2.

Torah was sent to the people of the Moses pbuh just like how Jesus was sent to the "lost sheep of Israel". Similarly Noahide laws were sent during the time of Noah PBUH. How has the shaikh proved that the Torah is corrupted, when his argument shows that Allah is a failure?? He failed with the Jews; then changed from them. He failed with the Christians; then changed from them. Now he has embraced the muslims and it is forever. Has Allah at last perfected what he was trying. All the statements where Allah used forever in sentences to the Jews, was he merely using it to add variety to the words in these sentences??? Is Allah a god that changes??? Does Allah lie??? The shaikh is too dimwitted to understand that an Arabic Quran cannot correct a Hebrew Torah. Do the muslims understand why the Torah was translated into Greek before Jesus came, and then the new testament was also written in Greek???

The fiber, the inner shell, the meat, and the water together are still one coconut. Does a mango grow/ live on a tree, with the skin, seed, or pulp missing and still be counted 1 mango?? When the skin, pulp, and seed are in place, is it counted as more than one mango??? So, try to understand the use of the word and as it is used.

Sorry but I agree with the young man. The sheikh isn’t hearing himself speak. He keeps rattling on about his dogmatic beliefs without truly addressing “why would the Quran confirm corrupted scriptures?” With the exception of a few well known additions (ie ending of Mark, Johannine Comma, etc) the reality is the Holy Bible hasn’t been corrupted as this “sheikh” claims. What many Muslims have a problem with is the language used in the Bible (ie “Father,” “Son of God,” “begotten,” etc) when these words weren’t written to be understood literally. The Quran informs us of the corrected manner with which to understand these words, figuratively.

Although there exists some language barrier between the sheikh and the young man, it was still very clear what the sheikh was saying. The Quran calls everyone to Islam which means to worship the One and Only Creator who was not begotten nor did he beget (literally or figuratively). The sheikh also mentioned that the biggest corruption in the Bible is attributing to God a son or His qualities to His own creation. Quran makes it perfectly clear that there is nothing like Him. Lastly, the sheikh mentioned that the Quran only confirms those things that weren’t corrupted and weeds out the those things that were. Again, the major thing being attributing partners to God or attributing His qualities to His creation. The sheikh made it a point that when the Jews came to the prophet Muhammad PBUH about matter regarding an adulteress they were seeking a punishment different than what they were prescribed in their own books. If they were truthful they would judge according to their own punishment instead of looking to alter their own rulings. That alone is enough for you to understand the mentality of some people at the time. If they were willing to ignore their own commandments and instead seek the commandment of another, especially a non-Jew, then they were definitely capable of changing their own bibles and torahs from before. But the prophet Muhammad PBUH tells them that the ruling in Islam is the same so there’s no escape in this matter.

Other than that, it creates an opportunity to worship, seek help from, call upon another being who isn’t God. Once you do this you fall into what Muslims call “shirk” (polytheism) and you’re no different than the pagans who worshipped a plethora of deities. Once you accept that God has a child then there is no reason for you to not accept that God has multiple children and grandchildren and in the Christian perspective who believe Jesus to be both God and son of God they also believe that Mary is the mother of God or the mother of the son of God. You immediately fall into the same polytheistic trap that the Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, Hindus and many many polytheists fall into. Furthermore as a Christian you should uphold the commandments of your Lord and thus have no other God beside him. That commandment is the essence of the Abrahamic faiths. God is One and there is nothing like Him. It’s a very simple and extremely clear message to follow. If anyone follows a belief system outside of this then they cant be called a monotheist.

@@amitij I don't believe Jesus is God, millions of Christians don't believe in the trinity. The trinity was developed in the 3rd and 4th centuries. Its an apostate teaching. However, any good person can be a son or daughter of God. Jesus isn't the only son of God, others are called sons of God. Like I said, “only begotten” just means first created/ created directly. God says In the Bible “This is my son the beloved, listen to him”. It is good that Muslims believe in strict monotheism, but you emulate Judaism too much. Circumcision, polygamy, washing hand rituals, praying 5 times a day etc. These are practices that arise from Judaism and the Jewish sect of the pharisees. Yet, the Jews of Jesus day mostly rejected Jesus. They crucified him because he said he was God's son. So why would you copy those who rejected God's messiah? Look at the parable In Matthew 21: 33-46. Islam essentially rejects the New Testament ans is similar to the Old Testament. But what was the purpose of Christ if you guys follow Jewish beliefs and rituals?

All of those things you say Muslims do because of the Jews, well so did Jesus and yes he was a Jew as he was from the children of Israel. As Muslims we honor the prophets and we stay as close to their teaching as possible. I’m sorry that Christian’s can’t do the same when it comes to praying, prostrating, fasting, prohibiting the consumption of alcohol and pork, and so many other things. It just seems that the traditions of the prophets especially Jesus aren’t followed by Christians as you admitted to it yourself even though Jesus himself was circumcised and adhered to strict monotheism and washed his hands and etc. However I will say that it’s a relief that you don’t believe Jesus to be God or in the trinity. Perhaps you believe in him being the son of God in the figurative sense? Not really sure but Muslims stay away from that topic altogether because it can lead to exactly what happened with Christianity and the trinity.

Islam claims that allah is the same God who was revealed in the Bible.....then if the Bible and the Quran have differing views of God , then Islam's claim is False . Dont forget that muhammad claimed in Suras 2 : 87, 29 : 46 , 32: 23 , 5 : 44 , 6 : 154 , 6 : 155 that allah confirmed the Torah and Gospel ( Sura 2 :87, 5 :46 , 5 : 68 , 29 : 46 and 43 :63) . So , if the Torah and Gospel are correct , all the errors in the Quran shown below make the Quran False. A tenet of islam is that both mohammad and Jesus of Nazareth wete both Muslims. Islam says both were prophets sent by allah. If this were true , then it is mandatory that these two great prophets must coincide exactly in all points and never contradict each other. Did not the sane allah send both of them ?? Then , arent even the smallest of contradictions between the two , very big Red Flags ?? . And there are a great many , which you will see below. Sura 5 :68 -- Say , O People of the Book ye have no ground to stand upon unless ye stand fast by the Law ( Torah) , the Gospel , and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord" Sura 29 : 46 -- Muslims are told by allsh , not to question the authority of the scriptures of the Christians, saying , * And dispute ye not with the People of the Book , but say, * We believe in the revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down to you. Our allah and your allah is one. Islam says that Jesus did not die. Di, again .....Islam has proven to be False ; because muhammad claimed the Gospel is true , and all 4 Gospels testify that Jesus died and rose from the dead. God does have a begotten Son ( not made , but one with the Father) , Which Islam denies . The Jewish Torah clearly indicated this over 1000 yrs before muhammad and Islam.
