It was either a sorta taunt or maybe he wanted to meter build in a weird way. Either way, he did it since he juust landed a super art and there's no fall recovery from those.

all this talk of RD being overrated is sort of true when you consider that gouki has a more powerful super art (the d,d,d, 3xp) that you can reset into and its unblockable and un parryible, its just that the timing is tight and even pros STILL to this day seem to ignore it, Raging Demon still looks cool though

i doubt he was going for the kara demon. it was a long time back then. pros were still learning. and its only one video of one match. people shouldnt be so harsh and critize that demon move so much. i dont get all this criticism in this one match.

That Akuma was not a good enough player, you can tell that by the combo's he does against Daigo, he should finish with the super, but doesnt.
