As one of Mayura's corner-men, I can say I'm very proud of Mayura's effort. Let's not kid ourselves - both men threw some big, hard shots, which could have instantly ended the fight. As for Shadid, I had the pleasure of speaking to him after the fight. He is a class act and a true warrior. This fight was given "Fight of the Night" honours for a reason - both men left it all in the cage and no one can ask for more than that! Modh. and Mayura, I salute you both!

So some may think their skill set is limited and thats a valid statement, but what they do have was left on the canvas leaving no questions as to their fighting spirit. That in my opinion is the heart of a fighter. You have to start somewhere. Where all the MMA greats always great? No. They had to grow with hard earned sweat, blood and determination. At the earliest stage of development, a strong will is more important than skill. Skill grows the more time you put into it.

Mayura has heart he did come back in the last round like a Lion but sorry friend No home town decision.As everybody watched , at the end Mayura was sitting on the ground exhausted and Shahid was standing and celebrating.Also everybody saw how Mayura was bleeding after the elbow strikes.Mayura is a great fighter and we respect him.As the commentator said Shahid had shoulder dislocation but he still fought.I watched Shahid's photo on a hospital bed after the surgery on his shoulders last month.

Shahid dislocated his shoulder in the middle of round 2..he was able to continue and raise his arm halfway in the air because his body was still warm and still had blood circulation..once the body cools down, there is less blood circulation..I dislocated my foot while playing soccer in India.I was able to not only walk but run and kick the ball hard.It's obvious that u didn't watch the whole event..when Shahid came back to collect his award at the end of the event his shoulder was all wrapped up

I agree that a lot of high level MMA is full of PED use...but this is what fighters look like who haven't really been fighting long, let alone actually working out and eating properly. It's sad that the pictures on the screens are photoshopped to make them look more muscular and ripped and then in the actual fight they look like two bums off the street. You don't need to be super muscular to be a good MMA fighter but...these guys could def. use some gym time and nutrition counseling.

@yasir boco you have a strong point but that doesn't prove that they aren't cheap. I run a restaraunt that is top in the state of new jersey. In the 6th best town to live in inside the U.S(google warren township nj) and there are some very, very rich stereotypical doctors mostly indians because they're mostly forced to become them by parents. Just like asian parents. All drive nice BMW's and Mercedes you name it. They come to my restaraunt and ALWAYS not sometimes but ALWAYS share they're food

My first thought in this fight (I didn't watch past the 1st round) was "Do either of these guys know the phrase "head movement" and then I realized "...these guys haven't thrown a single punch. They don't like getting punched in the face so neither are throwing punches! All leg kicks...this is sad. I hope the other fights aren't like this...it's not making Indians look very good.
