Triage at Dawn actually did make me cry as a kid. Though I always felt it was put at an odd place. Imagine if that song played at the end of Episode 2 as the credits rolled instead.

ehh, idk about that, Triage at Dawn is a "Victory, but at what Cost" kinda theme, playing as you reach the resistance coastal base and repel the Combine Strike team, you win, but at least one member dies; the Death of Eli Vance is a tragedy and the ending credits music perfectly communicates the soul-crushing event and the mystery of humanitie's fate RIGHT AFTER your apex of victory

The two samples (Distorted Trumpets) and (Is That The Door?) are taken from the album and used in Half-Life 2. Yes the Distorted Trumpets in Half-Life consists of two samples
