Plain planes are all we have anymore. Watched planes for 40 years at my airport and you could see from the 70s till the late 80s- 727,737,747,767,757, DC10, DC9, DC8, 707, bandit, shorts, dash' s, and convairs and a slew of smaller aircraft all during the 4 to 7 rush hour. Now it's just A320s 737s 757s and CRJs with a A321 thrown in.

Jetstream 31 N711HH of United Express in non-standard colors is at the 26 minute mark. I had to look this one up to see which plane it was.

Thanks for sharing this with us - I could watch your videos again and again. I wonder what the Jetstream J31 was at 26:29 ??? Does anyone know? Never saw this livery before...

@wahahn8555 Thanks. I'll have to look at my notes to see what the airline the Jetstream was.

Thank you for this, never knew they used to line up 3 "commuters" short of 1L! I saw 2 all the time until "Mike" was split to "Mike" and "Mike 1" by 1L, but never 3!

It used to be some old airlines like American West, Canadian, Continental, Mexicana, Northwest, TWA and US Airways (US Air formerly). And they used to fly to San Francisco.

I've never witnessed an Asia-bound flight take off of 1R

Typically the SFO-LAX portion of cargo flights like Nippon Cargo...if that's what you're referring to. I do now see the JAL 747-400 in the video...yeah that's pretty odd, huh. European flights sometimes takeoff on 1R. Invariably, KLM do these days. Aeroflot used to go out on 1R as well.

Nca did all the time(even runway 1L occasionally) These days european flights take off from it tho

You don't see a whole lot of widebodies at SFO anymore. Now all you see are a bunch of crappy little CRJs, Embraers, 737s, and A320s.
@JustinLHopkins8 жыл бұрын
JMMT7022801 Pretty much the same everywhere. Atlanta is the busiest in the world and yet the spotting their is awful. I'd say now the only places with a good diversity is JFK and LAX.

Justin Hopkins Planespotting, in general, is only gonna get worse with Delta and United retiring their 747s. Cathay Pacific and Air France got rid of theirs recently. The A340 is living on borrowed time. Things are gonna get to the point where all we'll see are boring, antiseptic twin engine planes.
@JustinLHopkins8 жыл бұрын
JMMT7022801 I agree. It's a sad time for aviation.

We do get a330s, 787s, a350s and 777s so we do get a lot of widebodies. Also SFO does a380 as well.
