If it's going to be successful it's got to be slim. It's amazing what a difference 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch makes in width and concealability. People don't buy micros for their pleasant shooting characteristics, the buy them because they are easy to conceal. If the gun is chubby it won't matter that the barrel is shorter or the grip is smaller, you might as well carry a sub compact or even a compact. Frankly miy favorite carry gun is the LCP Max. It's only a .380 but man is it nice and easy to carry. 12 rounds I can put in a pocket or a tiny IWB holster.

I think it would something good to carry as a summer time “shorts and t-shirt” vacation carry. And it’s HK. 😊 My question is what’s the problem? They talked about it for awhile, they show it off but too vague with a potential release. Very limited info on it but won’t even show it off being shot.

Last I heard German police departments would be receiving the 1st production models mid 2024. HK is never in a rush to release anything. It must be perfect first, unlike Sig who uses the public for product testing. I agree 100% on summer carry option.

You can get used to carrying a micro if it fits your needs. I love the vp9sk, but love a small imprint more. Even if they are late to the party, I’m in that market, and will try it out when released.

I prefer carrying a gun that is either A) a full-size or B) handles as closely to a full-size as possible. Tried a few micro-compacts over the years and never have been sold on them. My EDC is a P2000 LEM with the VP9sk occasionally getting the nod when I want something just a bit smaller. I don't really see the new HK changing this, although I will say the VP9sk impressed the heck out of me when I got it, it definitely performs "bigger" than it is.

I live in South Florida so Micro-9s are pretty much all I carry. I'm a big fan of Walther and HK (I own both a PPQ M2 and a PPS M2 and love both; ive shot my friend's VP9 as well and all three guns are the best striker-fired pistols I've ever shot) and hope that they will announce their own Micro-9 soon, but for now, my go-to carry is my Springfield Hellcat Pro. It's technically not fully a Micro-9 nor is it a Compact, but it fills a really nice middle of the road niche for a great price. I will definitely be looking into picking up this SFP9CC when it comes out in the States though. Walther needs to hurry up already and release their own Micro-9!

Way behind and will be even further behind by the time it comes out. That leaves you with a pistol that is not only going to be lacking in aftermarket support compared to the competition but is also short on round count compared to the competition and will probably cost more.

Here's the thing. I'm a Glock guy. I carry a Shadow Systems Glock 19-sized clone everyday. But in order to get into the micro-compact Glocks, I'm going to have to buy new holsters and mags anyway, and I've always enjoyed my friends' VP9s, so I'd actually be willing to consider switching companies for a micro compact to carry on those occasions I need more concealment.

However shootability is a definite factor when it comes to those micro compacts. I'll have to wait until they come out and rent one before I consider it. It would have to shoot nearly as well as my compact double stack gun for me to carry it with any regularity.

I’m with you as far as having to get all new gear and mags etc…..that has definitely been part of my lack of interest in micro pistols. They also shoot quite differently in general and I find them to be very snappy….but that probably shouldn’t be a big concern over functionality for a CC firearm

I have my Walther PPS or PPQ when I'm carrying. I don't need a micro 9 but I'l be curious to check them out. Both are the paddle style so that's nothing new. Walther used to know how to make guns.

I think, just based on it having a paddle and the charging supports, I'd like it a lot more than my P365, but it has to be priced somewhat competitively compared to other micro9s for me to be wiling to replace the Sig. Knock on wood, I haven't had any issues with it, but I also only carry it at work, since many of the locations I have to go for work are "gun free zones" but have no security. Everywhere else, I carry a P2000 because I'm a weirdo I guess.

I am still carrying a 9mm shield 2.0. it is so comfortable for me to carry. I am pretty small, so it's hard for me to carry anything bigger. When I am ready I might get the shield plus. I have a hard time switching because I have a lot of experience with the m&p line. (Most of my pistol experience)

I own the P30 SK and it is a little chunky for Summer carry but it is a smooth gun to shoot. The current gun I carry gun 80% of the time is Sig P365 with Magguts to give me 12+1 in a great carry gun. Gun runs flawless and at 8 yards medium fire speed all stay in the 8 & 9 ring. Don't need anything more than that at that distance. People think you need to shoot at 25 yards for protection. Most gun shoot outs happen at 10 feet or less. With all my rambling on when this gun comes out I will retire my Sig for this. Why? H&K are the best quality guns and smoothest I have shot!

I am absolutely interested in the SFP9 CC, and am anxiously waiting for word of it's release from HK. More and more defense experts are coming out in favor of pocket carry pistols. Since I already carry the VP9SK, have a P30 and VP9 as home defense pistols, I am a big fan of the paddle style mag release, and also of HK overall performance and quality. While I like my VP9SK, I am interested in something that is a little smaller for cc, and am trying to be patient in waiting for the SFP9 CC, instead of getting a Sig P320.

Word is that what you see in this video will not be available in the US - reportedly it falls into the 'Saturday night special' category. There will be a US version released Q3 - Q4, possibly Q1 of 2025.

When you’re in law enforcement, you can carry almost anything and it shouldn’t matter what size it is and if it prints. When it comes to a law biding citizen, the guns need to be smaller. I’m not sure about this new HK but it’s worth trying out if you can find it.

I like the size and round count options as well as the ergonomics of my H&K VP9SK OR NS... however would need more data and an opportunity to experience a 10 shot SFP9 CC to see if this entry into the micro category would convince me personally to give it a place in my CC rotation. I am comfortable with my attire choices that allow me to carry my SK's nearly printless so I haven't explored the micro options. If it comes to the USA I will have to give that question a fair answer tomy retail customers who mention daily how they enjoy the shallower print option of other manufacturers and wish that H&K would offer one with H&K's legendary quality and reliability. Need to put it to the actual tests to see if it has a place and as a lefty... here goes with another custom IWB holster. 😂 ~ 🌟🌙

I'm definitely interested in the micro 9, though I'm not a fan of micro guns at all, but would rather be able to carry a HK micro in summer than not carry at all. HK guns are so thick and I'm 5'9" 145, so a 1" wide option will be appreciated if its not over $650. The next hurdle will be quality holster manufacturers making a holster for it!! I just purchased a P30SK, but excited about a narrow offering from Hk. Hopefully they'll eventually make a 1" frame with a factory capacity of 15-17 rds. Stop being so stingy HK!!! We still don't have a 15 round magazine for the P30 .40 cal!!!

@@bikeracerdude True. Striker has been pushed heavy due to lower cost to manufacture but a ton of us still want hammers. Look at Glock, most people will just follow a trend if they’ve been told it’s best without questioning the why. To each their own, I and many others just believe it’s superior in n practice. Enjoy firearms of whatever type though, I love them all in their own way lol.
