Don't worry, it makes the same sound and animation as slipping on a banana peel. Caltrop + bare feet = Looney Tunes pratfall, apparently.

I was super confused as to why the caltrop had a cartoon sound effect until this vid reminded me about Birdie’s banana peel. They didn’t just use the same animation, they also kept the sound effect!

As far as I have seen the only guaranteed set up with VS2 is from her LP MP HP target combo. If you use that then ex kunai xx VS2 heavy throw it catches both back and neutral tech for an easy dash 50/50. Xian uses it on his stream a lot.

As far as AA, it really needs a hard read so you input it early enough, but if you do, it can clip many forms of air approach and leads to great followups if you dash forward immediately. I even caught a Kage trying to use Misogi on me when he saw me going for VSkill. Caught some air tatsus, dive kicks and cannon strikes too. It's very fun to use and very versatile

I see a lot of potential in certain match ups like Abigail, Balrog, Gief, Birdie and Bison, these characters barely jump a lot, so they are more suited to neutral, with Ibuki creating set ups to toss these Caltrop and the Ability of Ibuki dash, looks like Fujimura going to violate players like Itabashi, Problem X, Snake Eyes, StormKubo and so, if people like Fujimura found ways to use it of course, but if there is a person in the world that came up with some crazy shit with Ibuki are defined Xian and Fujimura, so hope they use this in some match ups.

Unfortunately you generally have to cut the combo short to get up a meaty caltrop, and the frame 1 meaty isn't scary unless she can mix up your blocking direction since it removes the threat of meaty throw.
