Love this show! So many beautiful dancers who rise to the challenge. It's sad that there are not more diverse contestants, though. But that is belly dance in the U.S.

awesome show great work on all performers. you mentioned that you couldn't get a licence for tribal music. I thought a license to play music as far as I recall was for all types of music to perform or compete for any dance recital or skate competition etc. .. What exactly is considered tribal music or appropriate belly dance music for licensing.

They'd have to very free music or pay the artists basically.

Have to pay royalties to the artists to legally use music, maybe they only wanted free donations in exchange for exposure

Probably should have stuck with judges' choice like the first season to avoid that mishap. lol

The first dancer has absolutely no ideia what is she dancing! Anna Bastanak isn't a folklore! It's a tarab song! If you don't know the meaning of a song, especially a folkloric one, don't dance it!

I think you aren't understanding the challenge. They didn't know what music they would be dancing to, she was prepared for a folkloric set but we changed her music. It was an improvisational round.
