I agree. NOW I get it. I need it shown to me in the tiniest of steps, just like in her video. That's what makes a good teacher in any area of expertise...she breaks it down perfectly in tiny steps. She also explains it metaphorically (" kicking a feather",...." as if a string is on your side being pulled up and let go"). These teaching methods keeps the moves locked in your head ---now if I can just make my body do what my head knows what to do :)

Great tutorial for beginners! There are a couple of issues on the routines at the end tho', so watch out. On the first time thru the whole routine, she does the first hip movement 10 times instead of 8 & so has to compensate with only 7 hip thrusts (the second movement). And on the second time thru the routine, she gets off the beat at the end, so it's a bit confusing. But if you realize these things, you can compensate without too much trouble & enjoy a sweet exercise & dance routine!

Dammnn, this is what he needed Prince you shoulda never let her go. When a woman like this loves you are LOVED, you could've had more children some couples try for years. If he'd kept Mayte he'd still be alive. I believe this.

I feel that he should've given their relationship the time, love, tenderness needed to heal. Maybe even couples therapy...it certainly wouldn't have hurt. If he had allowed it & remained invested in spite of the real shit that happened, he would likely have found that they could've been closer & with a stronger foundation than ever. I know that they both are people of faith & as such, while there is no rhyme or reason for their devastating loss, it was a test. And while I don't/did not know either of them, my gut tells me that Prince had no "real life" coping skills. It's as though he romanticized things, with earnest intentions, but once the "novelty" wore off & he needed to be just a husband/best friend/strength/support/comfort, he was either incapable or unwilling. He found this beautiful young lady, & over the years, she was a breath of fresh air, his muse, his protégé, his love & finally, his wife...He said vows to her before God & he created some of his most passionate, sensual, romantic music during his time with her. He chose to "groom" & court a girl...not yet a woman. He was her first everything. He was a man in his late 30s & she was a teenage girl when he invited her to join his world & tour with him. That's why I say that, had he given it some time, love & faith...yes, even if it took years...she would've grown a bit more into a fully realized woman & he might have grown into a better, stronger man & together they could've been forever, until death. I felt the love & passion between them, & I was only viewing from the outside. A love like that should not be thrown away. I've never even been married, but I know that a marriage requires more than love...it takes work, devotion, self-awareness, getting real & placing no one & nothing above your spouse. I take the vows very seriously & though I am a bit of a romantic & a total dreamer, I'm also a realist. If ever God & the Universe brings to me a mate to whom I can see myself married & with whom I have that "soul mate" kind of connection, I would never give up on him/us...if I say vows, that's a wrap. That's why I've never even been engaged. I've not yet felt a love like that, nor have I found a man worthy of my hand in marriage. It seems to me that Prince didn't know how to deal with the real life sorrow & adversity. It seems to me that he buried himself in his art & compartmentalized Mayte. It seems that, rather than face everything WITH her, he abandoned her (whether physically or emotionally or both) to endure & live in the pain alone. As a woman, she carried their son & the second child. Her body was growing life. Hormones & other factors likely made it impossible for her to do anything BUT live IN the loss, suffering, grief & pain. Much of this is just my gut instincts & understanding of human nature & psychology...so, of course, I'm expressing genuine, brutally honest, heartfelt opinions & sentiments. What I do know for a fact is that he had their marriage annulled, just a few years after it began. And unless it was Mayte's wish for some personal reason (which I doubt) to choose to have their marriage declared null & void, as though it never even happened...that is incredibly sad & I cannot imagine the kind of pain & feelings of abandonment & resentment & inadequacy that it created for Mayte. I'm not AT ALL painting Prince as "the bad guy" or as some heartless asshole. Not at all. In fact, my instinct also tells me that he was an incredibly sensitive soul & he had to be lost to not only give up, but to end their beautiful union in a way that the law recognizes as not ever existing. I just wish he'd given the same devotion & dedication & time to that marriage that he gave to his art, his convictions & in the last 16-17 years of his life, his religion. His marriage & their love deserved no less. I don't know whether or not he'd still be alive, for we still do not know how he died. But I do believe that, had he stayed with Mayte, they could've had the family they both desired (either the "traditional way" or via surrogate or adoption). I imagine Mayte would've loved him with an unending loyalty & fervor. If he'd still been with her & they had a family, at the very least, I doubt he would've died alone in an elevator. That breaks my heart. ♡

I think his death is touching so many of us in a particularly profound way, for he gave us & the world so much beauty, knowledge, freedom, funk, fun, love, humor & in his career, he was fearless. I agree. I think if he had had children with her, he would have been alive. Both his marriage and especially his kids would have kept him happy. I read a biography written by someone who knew him and who conversed with other people who knew him closely, and from what I read it seemed that he turned very lonely in his older years. His kids would have kept him grounded and happier.

No matter what anybody says about Mayte, including myself, the woman could and still can dance. Nobody can take that away from her. And I was and still am jealous that Prince married her lol. +Xi Zui a lot of women have belly fat that is NOT unattractive. I'm not one of those, I've had flat abs my whole life because I just have naturally flat abs, plus I've always been fit. However, that doesn't make my body better than a woman's that has a belly. In fact, it's considered beautiful as long as the rest of the body isn't fat. If you're truly fit all over, your belly should look just fine. Otherwise, maybe you're not being completely honest with yourself .... ? I've been a personal trainer and I know how people self-talk themselves. Make sure that you're not trying to look like a woman that is not actually a woman. Many Hollywood industry women are not really females, like Madonna, Jennifer Aniston, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Taylor Swift, et al. Watch that you don't covet their body traits because they're not real women.
