Mahomes is amazing. Great & elite even, but if we were all being honest. He's a product of his environment. He's been gifted the greatest coaching staff/TE in the league. Possibily even all time. You pair that with a great, even above average, QB. That team will go far. Hurts, Allen, Burrow, Lamar would all have similar success. That's not to take anything away from Mahomes' accomplishments, but we also have to give some of the credit to his supporting cast. Which he has benefited from immensly & if we really wanna get into the nitty gritty of it, we can even mention some of the calls they have benefited from. Which everyone has seen. I agree with McCoy, Patrick Mahomes could be the best player every year. But I have no problem giving recognition to the other players. And I thought he phrased it very well that the defense led the way and Patrick Mahomes put them away, that's exactly what Tom Brady did in his super bowl runs.. if the Chiefs field a strong defense Mahomes might have a shot at the super bowl record. Because it's that type of scenario where you're never out of the game because of your defense and you have an elite quarterback making crucial plays.
