There's a difference between looking at a box score or a stat sheet and determining which player is better than another. The players on the field know that quarterback A, who is playing behind a great offensive line has an easier time than the quarterback who's playing behind a crap line. The players know which players actually impact the game because they're out there matched up with their opponents. The players know the difference between the pressure Lamar Jackson puts on a defense than the pressure Joe Burrows puts on a defense. No one in the media who never played can speak to that because the game is more than numbers.
