I think changing the top 4 conference champions getting first round byes to home playoff games would solve the 5 and 6 seeds having a better path than the 1 and 2. This is what it would have looked like: 1. oregon plays winner of 8.Arizona State/9. Tennessee 2. Georgia plays winner of 7. Boise State/10. Indiana 3. Texas plays winner of 6. Ohio State/11. SMU 4. Penn state plays winner of 5. Notre Dame/ 12. Clemson.

Yes, but PSU and Texas probably didnt deserve the seeds they got. Seeds should probably have been: 1. Oregon 2. UGA (only because they won SEC champ) 3. OSU 4. Texas (maybe) 5. ND (they need to be in a conf) 6. PSU 7. Tennessee 8. ASU 9. IU 10. Boise 11. Clemson 12. SMU... What really screwed things up - besides the seeding process being all wrong - was SMU losing ACC to Clemson. Clemson was #17 in the rankings.

​@@hollinsdactually I would definitely argue Ohio State choking to Michigan is what really messed this up since they probably beat Oregon in a rematch and would be no.2 seed instead of 8 where they ended up. Also based on how Alabama played against Michigan idk them being in the playoffs over Clemson would've changed much at all.

They need to give them one week off and then play the game. A month off is just way too much. Sports has a lot to do with momentum. The NFL knows what’s it doing for playoffs.

These playoffs had been crazy so far. In the first round all 4 home teams won and in the 2nd round all 4 teams with a bye lost. I think they need to take the playoffs from 12 teams to 8 teams

Your Longhorns needed into the 4th quarter to beat Clemson at home and beat Arizona State on a blatantly missed targeting call. Texas isn't the "favorite" for shit except to be the next one to go home
