That is better than a grom. I'd buy this bike instead of the grom, and save some money.

Im also looking at Grom and Grom clone...for 3600 new Grom you might as well get a used 350cc or higher (i see Ninjas and CBs for 1200-3500 used)...to save money and get a clone you might spend like 1400 for a TaoTao or Vader, 2000 for the Razkull, 3000 for the Beneli TNT 135 (its fuel injected), 2400 for the K-pipe- all these are 125cc except TNT135...OR you can drop 2600 for the 250cc CSC...it just makes so much sense... I wish there was more control and lower prices on mini bikes

I bet this bike is a lot of fun to ride. I did giggle a little when it couldn’t even hit 70mph on the last gear. It’s a complete contrast of mine. I can hit 70mph on first gear without red lining, but it’s not fun to ride a fast bike slow, which is what happens 90% of the time I ride. So I’m looking for a small displacement bike to have fun with around town.

yeah but it would be nice if the people making videos on them knew a little more about motorcycles, i get that the low sticker is attracting newbies but you don't really get much info out of speed tests and "these really cool shocks 3:22" this isn't to pick on you just the lack of videos on theese bikes in general
@motovlo9855 жыл бұрын
Yeah I cut out a lot about the bike because it felt like I was just rambling on for 20 minutes about how this is a recreation of the old Honda CG125. Also I'm new to filming myself talking and have to get over it so I can better convey information. Thanks for the feedback though. I did a second video where I also cut down 30 minutes to 7 for rambling too much. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kJqQZKyEeayqmdE

Bobcatethan thanks. That means a lot. Going uphill on the highway is a big challenge for it, but I don’t think this was intended for that.

Just went to CSC website on 09/10/19.. That bike is now $2,195 and only colors are black or white. I weigh 250 lbs and would look odd on that lil cycle. Great looking scooter though,if only it was about two times bigger or I was two times smaller.

Subscribed! Glad to see someone review this bike. I have an RPS Hawk 250 currently and have looked at these since it came out. The motors between this and my Hawk seem to be similar, except the Hawk’s engine doesn’t have a counter balance. It did respond well to mods though; I rejeted and tuned the carb, performance exhaust and opened the air box up a bit. I wonder if this will also respond well to some performance mods.
@motovlo9855 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! Yeah this motor is popular with the Chinese manufacturers. Bike still vibrates quite a bit so I’m not sure how useful the counterbalance is though. I’m doing little upgrades and mods here and there. I will post more when I do them. So far I’ve been focusing on cosmetics more than performance. I want to figure out where to move the battery first to open up the triangle space under the seat. Then I will remove the air box too and update the carbs and exhaust. Luckily it’s not that expensive to do.
@michaelschneider51905 жыл бұрын
@@motovlo985 is the carb tamper proof? The Hawk had tamper proof screws. Supposed to keep you from modifying the carb. I just dremmeled the screws and used Mikuni jets on the carb. Still needs to be tweaked a little but it's loads better than stock. Hopefully you get the storage situation fixed. You could always get a magnetic talk bag as well.

How does it perform on a two-lane highway? This bike wasn’t made for the freeway/interstate, but I would love to see a test on a 55mph two-lane highway. Thank you for your time in making the video I just watched!
@jonathancorcoran94275 жыл бұрын
Well, when you start to go faster than 50MPH this thing starts to reach it's max around 65 so traveling on a highway you are maxing out it's potential.

I just got my 2019 SG. Word of warning, have a friend or two available to get it unpacked. The box + the crate and pallet were a pain in the ass to break down. I spent more than an hour trying to get everything cleaned up. Good bike though. I like it.

Cody Brookshire Sara (client services) called me to make final payment on May 28, I had the bike on June 10. It shipped on June 1, went from Los Angeles to Elizabeth, NJ in about 5 days and then they scheduled my drop-off that following Monday. The driver WILL call you when they’re close so you’re there to sign everything and pick it up. Recommend taking the day off and scheduling your delivery on a day where your street has a no-parking in effect for street cleaning unless you have a driveway. I lucked out with both those things. Oh and it’s a lot heavier than you think. Be careful getting the restraints off of it, I cut one and nearly dropped it when the remaining ties pulled to the opposite side.
@jaydubcee_5 жыл бұрын
Cody Brookshire and be careful with the footpegs. I put my foot down at a stop sign and accidentally raised the left one. When I went to get my foot secure I ended up having to pull over. The fold up pegs are a nice addition, but I don’t know, super dangerous, almost seems unnecessary.
@codyb42405 жыл бұрын
@@jaydubcee_ Damn, thanks for the heads up!! I've been looking at their accessories (not that I know what to look for) and I think I saw different footpegs and working with Sara too so I'll bring that up to her. Hopefully I'll have mine in a couple weeks too! I'm going to add you if that's cool - would like to have someone to ping ideas off of outside of Reddit lol
@jaydubcee_5 жыл бұрын
Cody Brookshire yeah, maybe they have non-fold ups but I doubt it. You could probably just adjust the screw or something that secures it so that they’re not as easy to fold up and down. My only complaint so far has been that the mirrors start to vibrate like crazy at 30 and higher. Your rear view picture is basically a blurry low-res photo on an old DSLR at high speeds. Definitely keep your head on a swivel, cause...no, you’re not gonna see anything coming at speed lol

can you change to a 43 rear sprocket for a little more speed.....i think it would be even better with a six speed transmission

So far it works for my needs. This is the smallest bike I’ve owned, but I got it just because I enjoy riding so much. It is fun to ride and I have the most confident son this than any other I’ve owned. I used to have a GSXR1000 and a Superduke. This one may not be nearly as fast but still fun to ride around town. Short runs on the highway is ok, but I can tell it doesn’t like it very much. I’m almost coming up on the 500 mile break in. I’ll do another video of my thoughts soon. Thanks for the comment and I encourage you to ride, but be safe.

Would you trust this bike as a daily commute? It’s about a 22 mile drive to my job.
@key9165 жыл бұрын
it would entirely depend on your commute, if you driving to work on mostly highway it would be a pretty horrible commuter, if its mostly 50mph or under it would be fantastic. Chinese products are pretty horrible in general but the engine CSC uses on this and the enduro model are actually a clone of an old Honda motor and they aren't horrible clones at that. most of the stuff that they seemed to have cheaped out on for lowering costs are the handlebars, tires, levers, and footpegs all pretty easily replaceable if you have some basic repair skills. but im sure they would last 6 months or so
@motovlo9855 жыл бұрын
The handle bars themselves seemed pretty solid although I did replace them giving a 7 inch rise to make it more comfortable. The gauges are garbage. the speedo was way off and the odometer is in kilometers even though it says miles per hour. I replaced that first. levers are ok but they do wobble up and down as if they aren't set in place very well. When I replaced the handlebars I also had to replace the hydraulic brake line and the clutch and throttle cables as well as extending the wire harnesses. It was a lot of work and cost about $120 for all the parts. Still it's cheap. This is my 4th motorcycle I've owned. My list is a 2003 Suzuki SV650, 2005 GSXR1000, and a 2008 KTM Superduke 990. I had a kid and had to give it up for a while and right now this bike suited me financially and scratches that motorcycle itch. This bike works fine in traffic and roads with speed limits up to 60MPH. Interstates would be a hard pass for me. If I need to ride the interstate that badly I'll get a bigger bike that can do so, but for now this bike is fun light weight bike to throw around. Great for beginners too!
