Just four and half hours in and I already love this commentary! God Bless! Someone not using savestates willing to go after Nemesis! And while complaining about it also! Nemesis' shotgun has MUCH faster reload time, and is a tick more powerful. Considering how many times I've died from Zombies rushing me while pumping the shotgun, it's worth it.

Nemesis has a one hit kill move following a grab, but you can struggle to break free. You will automatically break free in fine status, though.

You can also make Flame, Acid and Freeze Rounds by combining Grenade Rounds with Power A, B and C. It makes less rounds, but helps save powder, especially if you're making Freeze Rounds to deal with Nemesis. IIRC, it takes eight Freeze Rounds to bring Nemesis down (four to bring him down for the first time, and another four to disable him for good until the next encounter). Also, from my experience, Nemesis only dodges grenades when he's walking towards you.

I'm a Resident Evil nut and my first ever experience with the series was the 2002 remake for the GameCube. The remake was also later ported to the wii as "Resident Evil Archives". Resident Evil 2 or 4 would be good alternatives but I'd say go for the remake if you are interested.

Well, Matt replied to my comment; and from what I gathered, it's pointless to fight Nemesis all seven times. So it's kinda like me and the nine health upgrades in Prince of Persia Two Throne, which are also, completely pointless. You get nothing for it. So if you know you can do it, you might as well go for it. Seeing Matt fight Nemesis all seven times, will be the first time i've seen it done, and i'm excited to see it.

Revelations was a pretty good game in my opinion. I enjoyed it. Has a good story, though it's set up into 12 chapters...and you play as 3-4 characters if I recall correctly in the story mode. Though there's other modes like Raid Mode where you can go solo or multiplayer. Also has a Streetpass thing, so find someone who has it, Streetpass them, and you can rescue them during a mission, and get some sort of item...or you could just get a care package :P I liked it regardless though, so try it out

In terms of bullet crafting, Fallout new vegas is a pain in the ass but fortunately lead is universal however bullets and shells are specific such as specific shell casing, specific gunpowder such as pistols, rifles, long rifles, and primers as well but my problem is that you cannot just buy primers and gunpowder anywhere To add ontop of it, you cannot make all types of ammo, so lets say you can make standard 308 rounds but you cannot make AP or HP 308 rounds but instead must use hte "custom" 308 rounds

By watching this LP, I am convinced that the zombies around the 8:40 mark of the video have it out for me in particular! Every time I try to do that section, every one of those zombies come full speed at me, but a good half of them decided to stay & stumble around the stairs with Matt here. Seriously, fuck those guys! Even more painful is that they're guarding the shotgun.

In the opening with Jill's backstory, notice the Grady Inn sign has a phone number with an area code. 212 is the area code for NYC. Sadly this game was released in 99, two years before a real disater called 9/11 happened. Cowinsedence?

Mattheos Clemence Yeah, you know what, you're probably right. Chicago is a little too conventionally "modern urban" (skyscrapers, et cetera) for Raccoon, it's a sprawling city, but not really in that way. One thing I always loved, even though it could get kinda ridiculous, was how in each game you returned to Raccoon, they had to introduce new set pieces etc, so they add more to the city landscape. In RE2 you're hardly ever on the streets, although that section is one of the most exciting to me. RE3 basically said what if we KEEP you on the streets with a few mini-Police Station type lairs for you to run around in, and introduced stuff like the Hospital, Raccoon Park, the Newspaper Office (if you go there), etc
