Wow. It's amazing how the Dominus Collection just kinda plopped out suddenly. In that, it took me until seeing this video to realise the thing was even released. I am still happy though. I'm glad that of all the old, NES-era franchises, the mainline Castlevania games are now fully playable in the modern day. If they could just get Symphony and Rondo onto Steam, that'd really seal the deal. I wonder if they're gonna even try with the 3D games in the future. That'd be interesting. Now that most of them are released like this though, fingers crossed for a Harmony of Despair rerelease. Like, now that everyone's caught up on the games, why not? I'd buy that, it was always a fun game to kinda mindlessly grind at. As a quick sidenote, to the people that are interested in that "Touhouvania" that was mentioned, the series goes by quite a few other names. If you look up Touhouvania and find "Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony", you're on the right track, because that's what the original is nowadays called on the Steam release. There is also "Touhou Luna Nights", which is a follow-up to this idea. Thought I'd just quickly bring that up, so that people know what they are looking for.

Well Elliot's half right, the real villain is Ultron Sigma but the whole plot of Infinite happened because Jedah convinced Lady Death about an endless supply of souls if they merge their worlds together.

Admittedly Demitri is a character that I'm really fond of, partly because I like his aesthetic, I also find it amusing and kinda sad that he was meant to be the main character of the series but other characters seriously eclipsed him. These days I feel like most folks aware of Darkstalkers would probably think that Morrigan is the protagonist since she was the breakout character.

Hsien-ko's probably my favorite from the cast, just because everything else Capcom puts her in makes her such an adorable and likable character. Of course, I'm speaking as someone who mostly knows Darkstalkers after its time and sees it more as "that franchise Capcom has that they only really acknowledge because Morrigan makes big bucks." She was in MVC3... and unfortunately is universally considered absolutely one of the worst characters in the game, but she's still cute at least! And then Project X Zone does a funny and pairs her up with Frank West, a character famously known for bashing in the heads of the undead. In a similarly related note, Project X Zone also features Dimitri paired up with Dante (featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry series), mostly for the gag of their voice actors in Japan being best friends, but it's also a funny dynamic of the half-demon demon hunter being partners with an actual vampire.

Lord Raptor is by far the strongest character in the game. He is so ridiculously overpowered but it takes a ton of skill to play him effectively. He also by far has the coolest design and an amazing personality. Just amazing on all fronts. His story is that he was an Australian musician who was called the God of Metal for his talent. One day he obtains a leather-bound book similar to the Necronomicon which spoke of the demon realm and he begins to use passages from the text in his metal lyrics, whether on purpose or not the incantations begin to mind control listeners and in the end Raptor ends up killing himself with 100 of his fans during a live concert after he played the song Sacrifice. Turns out that this was an offer to the demon Emperor Ozom who revives Raptor as a zombie servant to serve as his personal assassin, although Lord Raptor plans on betraying him to take his place. He is kind of insane and bloodthirsty but he is still charismatic Lord Raptor also has a crush on Hsien-Ko and has heart eyes during his taunt.

Ngl. I thought the title said Vampire Survivors. I'm a little peeved, but I'll enjoy the video anyway.

...Full disclosure: I misread the title as Vampire Survivors and was wondering when there was a Darkstalkers dlc.

As a diehard fan of the series, Darkstalkers is absolutely amazing, but it's not exactly popular and people only really know the characters from either certain sites on the internet, or from crossover games like Marvel Vs Capcom. So I can't say with confidence that a revival would do well, more so that it should be reintroduced if anything. Especially if you look at sales numbers compared to other games. Anyway I love Morrigan and especially Felicia, she is definitely my main. And I love that once you look past how they look, they legitimately have some awesome growth and character traits that I very personally find relatable, ESPECIALLY Morrigan.

I may be wrong, but you can map away the time manipulation toggles and replace it with something else for both capcom arcade collections. As for mains, Felicia, Hsien-Ko, and Dabble with BB Hood and Morrigan.

Hands down Felicia is my favorite Darkstalkers character, for obvious reasons and she's cute too!

I haven’t played Dark Stalkers, but I still want in on the conversation damn it! Um… a friend showed me Raptor so he’s cool. Yeah I got nothing.

Jon Talbain is easily one of the coolest Capcom/Fighting Game characters ever. A werewolf that uses discipline and martial arts to control and weaponize his transformation? That’s cool as shit. Plus his moveset is just super cool in general. All around an awesome character.

You guys want to figure out how to turn off the fast forward and rewind feature? Look it up!

Funny enough for Felicia, she's also secretly a nun that is also a singer. She just happens to be kid friendly and the weakest of the darkstalkers. Terms of the other cast, B.B Hood is one of them they fear running into while there's three others that are active antagonists. Jedah for sure was one, I forget the other (but was a full on robot), and pyhrron.

I also have the PS1 copy of Darkstalkers 3. Felicia and Talbain are easily the characters I played the most. That said, the L1+R1 combo activates "Dark Force", which has each cast member more or less enter a "Dragon Install" state, granting them some alterations to their moveset. For example, Morrigan creates another copy of herself behind the opponent, while Talbain generates afterimages of himself that can aid in racking up Combo hits. There is also "Dark Force Power", which makes the Dark Force state deal damage that can't be regenerated through the White Bar on their health meters. I believe there was also a PS2/Dreamcast port of the game that added "Dee" -- Donovan succumbing to his dhampir side.

Wait a minute, this isn't MSHvSF... ah well, it's the next best thing. This was my first Darkstalkers game, my college's engineering class made an arcade machine running on Pandora's Box 5 and this was one of many games pre-installed. It was pretty sick

I know this is Darkstalkers, but sometimes it's easy to confuse the Japanese name for another game that's come out more recently, Vampire SURVIVORS.

Dude I would pay to see a Darkstalkers game done by the same team that did Skullgirlz like come on they can give the characters cool redesigns, create new characters based off different monsters from different cultures or movies update the combat like come on man they could do it too.

You can remove the fast forward/rewind/pause functions from the triggers, just unbind them in the controller settings. On that note, you can also turn off the flashing in the EX settings in the Marvel vs Capcom games.
