This is GREAT, when I first started practicing, I was told Gongyo wasn't as important as chanting but that through chanting you would as by course want to learn, and that's how I learned gongyo page by page. At that time it took 45mins to a hour to do, buddhism was a prayer of HOPE that I had none of so I pushed myself to learn gongyo and I've never regreated it. I'm so happy it's here for the world to learn.

@@gypsygirl9 Yes. Both are chanted She means chanting daimoku (Nam-myoho-renge-kyo) as opposed to to doing gonyo. Both are essential to your correct practice of Buddhism!!! :-) :-) 🙂

I've been doing gongyo for 30+ years and it's amazing that when I do a slow gongyo, I find many words I mispronounce. That's why I like doing slow gongyo occasionally! Excellent and thank you!

I hope you may find the book with the complete translation. Ask for it at your local group members🙏 See: Lectures on the Sutra - Hoben and Juryo Chapters Hokkekyo - Hoben-pon Juryo-bon-no-kaisetsu. It is really different when you know the meaning of Gongyo! Good luck🙏💝
