Rick Remender said it an interview about how people will call you can overnight success but they don't acknowledge all the work put into prior to that 'big' break. I really mean it, these videos are great, it makes me appreciate every single book of yours on my shelf even more.

This explains a lot about how you come across compared to lots of pros, you've suffered and strived for your art before you got big. Too many people these days seem to walk into a #1 issue as their first gig and then demand reverence from the audience which is unearned.

Funny part is, I've notice a lot of people who try to call you out in a negative light were handed their careers. Not naming names or busting chops, just an observation.

As a person struggling through some life challenges and uncertainties (probably like majority of people now), your video was strangely helpful and inspiring. Thank you for being honest and not going full Bob Kane smug style, even though your achievements are quite remarkable

The best kind of dumpster you could sleep in, you said. Agreed, yes and safer than another place. But still not good !!

I love hearing these stories. Though I do end up thinking “Well, the reason I haven’t made it is because I haven’t slept in a dumpster.” Haha I’ve had my struggles, just not the same kind. Also, I looked up Crush.

so real man! i love this. this is raw and honest. artists going into the comic industry should not go in for the money rather for the creative freedom in creating captivating stories!

The night I slept in a dumpster was not the worst night of my life. I laughed at that line.

somewhere right now, there is a future SGM sleeping on a park bench or eating at a diner smelling like trash...gonna try to find these Dark Horse books, now... *did Sean just say he'd love to work on Hellboy?? Make it happen, people* ... --so much great back story. I think a lot of folks need go through hardships to appreciate what they have and get away from so much negativity...
