I forgot what camera it was, but it allowed me to zoom in perfectly on the ceiling lamp bulb and I could clearly read the words SYLVANIA on the bulb. Now THAT was impressive!!!

I got to play with this very camera in Best Buy today and I will say I am quite impressed! Two of my "must do" tests when it comes to testing camcorders is, face the camera toward a far off item in the store, such as, down an aisle about 25-50 feet away. Then, quickly place your palm in about 5" front of the camera lens while looking into the monitor view screen and see how long ittakes to re-focus. Then, pull your hand away and see how long it takes to re-focus. Was it Fast or slow?

I'm getting this camera next week, glad I waited! I see some people paid up to $1,600!!! I'm getting it for about $499 at best buy, can't wait, just in time for christmas holidays!! I saw one video showing it has a remote control? But have only seen this nice, it said it was a J260V.

My SECOND test for any camcorder is its ability to adjust accordingly to indoor lighting conditions. For this, I turn the swivel monitor accordingly so I can view it and turn the camera straight up at a Best Buy celing lamp. High Powered light bulbs. It glares the camera at full wide mode, now zoom in directly onto the bulb in that lamp housing on the ceiling. Impressive or blurry? Good cameras will allow you to see the clear glass of the bulb. Excellent zooms will let you read the name!!

cameras dont have remotes or 45 hour record time and they sure dont have LCD screens untill your up in the $1500 range + this has infra red video ...it is expensive but itf u look at the options I think in comparason it is worth it
