Great camera, but how do you get it to download with the date and time that you took the individual video 'take'? So that when editing you know when the video was taken.

+BRUCE CHRISTISON I don't have this particular camera, but if the option is not in the menu, you can still add the date in almost any video editing program. Digital video files always have a date stamp attached to them, and that will be available in the video properties displayed by your video editing software or just by looking at the file's properties in Windows/Mac.

This camera shoot some sharp videos. And it shoot sharp videos both Indoor and outdoor. But it is not the best in low- light situations. The sharpness and the quality can be compared with a good smartphone. But this camera has some functions that a smartphone dont have. And this functions is why you buy this camera. Simple as that.

are you happy with the video quality and the still image picture ? because i have this camera and i am not happy at all!!! most of the time my wife galaxy s4 phone takes better picture and video than this pj810

Now seriusly , are you happy with the quality? Like I said the quality is very poor and not even close to full HD, there are smujes and you can see the pixels. I have uploaded a video to my KZbin account. Look for user name itay Ari, the video of the pool and tell me what you think about the quality. Thanks a lot, Itay

itay ari Try recording in 1080p instead of 720p and see if that helps.

Smudges quality footage.... this camera not worth the 12 hundred dollars that Sony is asking for, I guess the marketing point of sale is the useless “projector”... with that gimmick is what they fool the naive customers... you are much better off with the Panasonic FZ200

Cool review but camera is crap and has, as all SONY models which have LED FLASH built in bulbs as artificial light-serial error or failure. Be aware to pay for extra, prolonged warranty time because you'll have problem with this LIGHT function one day surely (camcorder stops and you can't turn it on no way-have to bring it to service). Service costs some 250-300 USD if out of warranty and most worse is-this failure happens again soon after.
