Dude imma be honest. The work you do is insane. I watch a lot of different car and home audio channels and a lot of them like to keep costs down and keep it kinda simple. You blew me away earlier in the Series when you covered up the access panels in the doors with a solid material. I’ve only seen one other person do that. Damn man I would have loved to see how you tuned this thing. I’ve been working a lot with DSP’s lately and would love to see how you tune your systems. I used a Dayton audio mic with a RTA on my iPad. Seemed to work good and the speakers sounded hella good. There not to many videos on DSP tuning. I’m only 18 and got a lot more to learn about this stuff. So I would love to see some videos on your tuning procedures.

Thanks for the great comment and watching our video!!! So we will get into more of DSP tuning and talking about what to do. It's not a easy task to learn, but hopefully we can help explain what your actually doing and things to look out for. Patience and trial/error.. We have tuned hundreds of DSPs over 10 years.. So we learn something new every time we do one.

Incredible crafmanship , would love to see a video of how you guys tune the final product , RTA, amp level etc......
@SoundsGoodStereo4 жыл бұрын
We will go into more detail on our process hopefully on the next build. Our systems are fully active, Mosconi DSPs with plenty of power on tap. All "levels" are set with an Oscilloscope or DD1, we use an RTA to analyze the signal (if we keep the factory amplifier/radio) and then we have a unique tuning process to set the time delay, L/R EQ, tonality, etc. We might have to dedicate an entire video to this and try to think about how to convey the technique in a simple DIY format. Stay tuned!

Those Pillars look really nice! Wasn't there a way to angle them more "on axis" than 180 degrees opposed from each other?
@SoundsGoodStereo4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! So we could angle them more but it would change the overall look of them. While changing the axis does help, we don't believe many people would be able to hear the difference. We do extensive DSP tuning to bring everything together and create the sound stage that our clients are looking for.

where do you have drivers aimed, I have the same speakers and was thinking of making my pillars more on axis, do you find there is an advantage to this other then size?
@SoundsGoodStereo4 жыл бұрын
Adjusting axis can yield good results. Stereo systems offer a unlimited amount of possibilities and improvements. It all comes down to the time you want to invest and the educational background you have in acoustical science. If you work with acoustics every day, then no question axis will help. If this is your first time, then be patient and be willing to learn. For us, we take the entire install and we break it down to performance, aesthetics, reliability, and being able to service the vehicle in the future. The main component to the performance of our stereo systems is our knowledge of DSP tuning. This allows us to use speaker locations that might not be optimal, but utilize the power of a DSP to bring everything together. This allows us to provide a stock appearance, but stellar performance. So to answer your question, yes axis does matter along with 10,000 other things. Determine your budget and time to allocate these where it matters the most.

Are you guys willing to sell a blueprint/instructions of the box? I would love to build one myself but am new to the building portion of boxes. I built a 4th order bandpass box with my dad when I was younger but would love something this style in the 2016 f150. The only option I see right now online is the $1850 option and then the one with speakers. Thanks for your time
@SoundsGoodStereo4 жыл бұрын
Hey Bradley, thanks for checkout the videos. So we don’t have a blueprint or cut sheet for this enclosure. We work with precut profiles and we copy them using a router. Then we assemble the enclosure. Also, as you can tell from the video, a lot of custom work needed to be done to the enclosure, even after the pieces were cut. I would recommend using this video along with the Nissan Titan video as a reference. Maybe this will provide some insight along with tips when your building yours. If your interested, we can take the enclosure down several levels to reduce the cost. Do you already have subwoofers? Thanks Don

Great job! However, all those great components, speakers and amps and yet you still used RCA cables! Why not leverage an optical option to add one more step to cleaning up the sound from the factory head unit?
@SoundsGoodStereo4 жыл бұрын
So when using the ZEN module, you have the option to use RCA or Optical. Believe it or not, optical is more limited than the RCA in this situation. In most applications, yes Optical is more cost effective, easier. But in this case, money wasn’t a object, but sound quality and performance was. So RCA was used.

@SoundsGoodStereo4 жыл бұрын
@@Barrelproof_neat So the speaker plates we have both front and rear. I just went in and updated the product page, so under "size" you will see the front adapters and then the rear adapters. So in your case, you will want the "Front 6x9 to 6.75-inch" and the "Rear 6.5" Adapters"... The rear adapters are a little bit cheaper since it uses less material. Add these plus the block off plates, use sound treatment & you have the ultimate speaker enclosure for your badass Focal speakers!!
@SoundsGoodStereo4 жыл бұрын
The price is per pair. We are using HDPE which is not a cheap plastic, but perfect for a dense/strong mounting plate for the speakers. So it costs more than the cheap injection molded plastic which is flimsy.. Obviously you want the best for your Focal's.. If you had some $99 Pioneer speakers, then I wouldn't stress it's importance.
