Sgt Jason Thomas

Sgt Jason Thomas enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1996 and closed out his active-duty service in the Spring of 2001. While attending law school in NYC, he was dropping off his two-year-old daughter at his mother’s house when he first heard the news of the attacks on the World Trade Center. He immediately put on the camouflage utilities still in the trunk of his car and began driving toward Manhattan.
As he exited his parked vehicle and turned to walk toward the epicenter of the chaos, the first tower’s collapse engulfed him in a storm of asphyxiating heat and debris. Listen here to this exemplary Marine’s experience at Ground Zero. Once a Marine, always a Marine. Semper Fidelis.

In mark Laganas 911 footage you can see sgt. Thomas been approached by firefighters heading towards ground zero. Truly a hero. I also watched the world trade center movie starring Nicolas Cage and was confused when. his portrayal was a white man :/

Is very proud to see what a great caliber of a man Jason became. I only know the little kid running around in his underwear or pjs. I made sure my girls knew who he is and what he did. When I think of the fact he was literally blocks from one of his nieces on the other side of the buildings. 🙏🏽💜

Idk why they put him in the movie as a white dude I always heard that at the time it was made they didnt know much about the two marines besides their names and that they found them. It's not like the wanderer around looking for fame and publicity afterwards they did there duty and went about there lives. The Airforce has it's Special Operators, The Army has it's Green Berets, the Navy has it's Seals, and under all the different names given America has her Marines. If you look at what the Marines have been doing for the last 247 years they are America's Special Forces. So by the time Green Berets and Seals get a glimpse of heavens scenes they'll find all the heavens are guarded by United States Marines. Semper-Fi
