Didn't even have to get to the end of the first verse of God Only Knows to know I LOVE this. I absolutely love when someone takes something we all consider sacred and uniform, turns it upside down and inside out, and makes us rethink it. Makes your brain go Pop, and it's been awhile since popular music made my brain go Pop.

I stumbled across this while looking for original-recording mashups...admittedly,I almost called it quits while listening to the first track,but I'm glad I stuck it out through the entire album. I really don't know the Beach Boys' music as well as I know the Beatles,but I love variations on the Beatles...the Rutles,Utopia's "Deface The Music"...and this took familiar-sounding music and took it in completely new directions. Very well done!

Love this album. The opening notes of "An Answer Within You" bring a tear to my eye pretty much each time I hear it and, "Today Rita" and "A Day In These Times" are both fantastic. Well, there's not a bad track on the whole thing (though the opening track is probably the one that gels the least, to me) but those are my favourite ones.

That was really something special. I have been on a pet sounds kick lately, totally reconnecting with and obsessing over it and loving it more than ever. I saw this and clicked on it with little expectation. Boy was I pleasantly surprised/ impressed! Also, when I read "mashup" I was sure I'd be hearing a blend of the 2 original works(especially from the p.o.v. of a DJ -- dance music not radio), but the fact that this was a new piece of music makes it that much more remarkable. As a music professional, a music lover, and just a human being I am truly dumbfounded by this in the most wonderful sense of the word. Amazeballs!#$@!

Nicely done Hellbirds, I started to get into mashups a few years ago after hearing "Alive Porcelain" with The Beastie Boys and Moby songs combined by MagicM. When properly done it really brings out the best of both songs, without sounding forced at all. There is an art to doing this, like a beautiful collage or finely-woven tapestry.
