It has been brought to my attention I accidently said "747" when it is obviously a 737. The names are so similar I didn't even notice while editing. Luckily it literally doesn't matter for the story at all. The fact that this tiny error actually ruined the entire story for certain people is beyond my comprehension. For those who realized it indeed doesn't matter and enjoyed the video and the work I put into it, I am truly grateful you appreciated it. Thank you for watching.

It's very clear you aren't too familiar with how aircraft operate and that's more than okay, but you are really over dramatic if you think you were in any kind of danger or this is even worthy of a video. 4:34 the gentleman behind you knew what was going on. Looks like rapidly changing weather over the field, including windshear, which will be avoided if possible. This is why the pilot said he was "going to try to land the other way". Two go arounds while the weather changed and waited to stabilize and looks like you were placed into a hold for a short while, probably just for spacing with other arrivals. Not even close to out of the ordinary. 90% of the danger you may have felt was the one idiot screaming to get off the plane...

I was literally the only person not panicking on the plane. I also didn't believe we were in any danger until we landed and the crew's attitudes changed to relief and the pilot said we were "lucky to have enough fuel", I started to think maybe they were not telling us how dangerous the situation was in the air to avoid any further panic, hence why an experienced flight crew showed how shaken they were only after landing. And you obviously didn't watch the whole video, because just before I went up to the cockpit to thank the pilots for getting the plane down as requested by the crew, something clearly flew into the engine, which given how intricate engine designs are, could have easily caused damage to it. That is far from a "normal" flight if you ask anyone, and due to such interesting and unusual events, this was indeed "worthy of a video" because even though there weren't planes breaking up, exploding, and deaths like I'm sure you are used to, there are people out there who would enjoy an unusual, exciting flight with a happy ending, hence the like count.

They probably got wind shear alerts and had to go missed. It’s either that or risk the possibility of a VERY hard landing with potential structural damage done to the airplane.

True! I'm so glad they didn't damage the plane any further than the debris that went into the engine.

In anticipation of the weather at your ETA, they would have been planned with plenty of hold/contingency fuel, so they could hang out and not have to divert right away. It's nice that you were able to get in after a few attempts. Go-arounds are conducted for safety, in order to avoid un-stabilized approaches or dangerous windshear. You were most likely never in danger of running out of fuel. That flight probably had a planned alternate, like Salt Lake City, or Idaho Falls. The crew would have gone there immediately, when the flight ran out of hold fuel, which they would have calculated, and then used to get you safely on the ground. Doesn't look like it was a fun ride though.

Wow that is exactly what I was thinking on the plane! Which is why I was the only person not panicking. However once the we landed and the crew really showed how nervous they were and the pilot said we were "lucky to have enough fuel" and we were requested to thank the pilots for getting the plane down I realized the crew may have been avoiding communicating the extent of the situation to avoid a panic. Either way it sure made an interesting video!

Was there any announcement. ??
@SgtBlockBuster3 ай бұрын
Surprisingly the only announcements they made were in this video. Before that everyone was just panicking.

Seemed like routine multiple "go around"s to me. If it were an emergency, there would have been fire trucks. Remaining fuel and flight deck workload were the only issues I could see. Minimums and weather/wind shear alerts. Thank goodness it was not a problem with the aircraft.........

How this video on has 50 views is kinda crazy

Is that the only custom 747-800 with a twin engine 🤔 😂😂 You are mistaken, brother. It's not a 747. It's 737-800
@ernieszelepcsenyi57104 ай бұрын
There's also no 800 model 747...they switched to single digits so even if it was a 747, it would be a 747-8.

Perfectly normal to make multiple attempts to get into a field before making the decision to divert to the alternate airport.

A boeing 747-800 twin engine... a'right. You just killed your credibility right there. You have no clue what you re talking about nor do you care about accuracy ... drama drama...

Obviously. I misspoke in the narration because the names are nearly identical so I didn't notice. Luckily it doesn't matter for the story.
