This Offshore Jetski fishing trip was INSANE!!
In this episode I take my ‪@Seadoo‬ Explorer Pro 230 Fishing jet ski nearly 40 miles offshore to a deep sea oil rig! As soon as we pulled up on our seadoo we dropped down to catch Multiple species of snapper, lane snapper, red snapper, mangrove snapper and vermillion snapper. This is truly why I bought my fishing jet ski!!

Yeah it can get rough out there. Jet skis are much safer though because we don’t take on water the way a boat does.

Step down your leader to some 50# floro (or lighter) and lengthen it to 10-12 feet, you will capitalize on more and bigger mangroves. Also practice fishing free spool for them, you will not be disappointed

Jetskis to the rigs is extra cool. I agree with tethering your ski can be dicey, especially in waves or heavy current. It’s nice to be tied up though. Maybe look at making yourself a quick disconnect with a snap ring or something. 👍

Have had 2 skis since 2013 had plans when I first bought them to do this but blew a seal of some sort and didn't even know (it still drove fine) until it rolled over abnormally found the internal engine compartment was 3/4 full of water i had kids on the back thought it was them gaining some weight at first got to shore quickly I was on a freshwater river but I thank God daily I wasnt in the ocean

Bit of coconut milk, small amount of tomatoes and marinated raw in a little bit of lemon juice. Raw fish when it's fresh is the best! Need to come out to New Zealand where we have 20lbs snappers or better yet, catching 50+ lbs King Fish from off the rocks.

A fishing and cooking video! Nicely done bro! One thing though I would eliminate the cream addition and maybe go with a cup of diced tomatoes in addition to those lovely tomatoes you already added. That or sliced cherry tomatoes. Also why is everyone against taking a jet ski out for fishing? I’m a disabled vet so I don’t know if my body could handle that journey but man it would be cool to do something like that. I commend your bravery and your cooking savvy sir. Well done video! Curious as in your comfort level going that far offshore, do you carry an EPIRB or have Sea Tow? When we go offshore that far I prefer to have at least twins pushing the boat. We went to the middle grounds with a guide and I wouldn't go unless he was running twins or even triples. I guess that's my sissy side coming out. 🤣

barotrauma. Happens when you pull up a fish from a deep depth quickly and their swim bladder inflates like a ballon. Same principle with a human trying to surface from a deep depth...it wouldn't end well if they didn't get shoved in a hyperbaric chamber.
