Since filming this series in May/June I am saddened to say that Dave Fowler from West Coast Mountain Guides has sadly lost his life in the mountains - I will leave the videos up at the moment in his memory. Dave gave me the best 4 days I have ever had in the Mountains and memories that will last with me forever. His passion and love for the outdoors really shows. He will be sadly missed by myself and many others. Thoughts are with everyone involved at this time - RIP Dave.. 🏔

Fantastic James, well done. Nothing quite like Skye for the views and scrambling, especially on days like that.

James, I don’t think you appreciate the quality and beauty of your videos. I stuck this up on my 58” in the living room and the depth of the picture just took me there. You looked like you had such a blast and the weather was just perfect. Looking forward to the next instalments on the ridge 👍🏻

Hi James, wonderful video. You’ve certainly struck gold with the weather. I’ve not been up the Cuillens but I’ve been in to them. Coire Lagan has to be the most beautiful place I’ve ever eaten by sandwiches! Thank you so much for sharing your trip, roll on the next video. Cheers Dave 😀🥾⛰🏴

Well done and really well shot considering the amount of hands on rock! Brilliant views all around and really lucky with the weather. Looking forward to Scur Nan Gillian, did that 30 years ago in the same weather, and that gabbro rock tore a brand new pair of leather Scarpa boots to bits! Have a good one 👍. Cheers, Ozzy.

Fantastic stuff! Crazy route you picked there... Hope you didn't forget your sun blocker😉. I was able to bag Blà Bheinn three weeks ago on vacation and had a view from afar on the Black Cuillin Ridge. Breathtaking - and a reason to be back on Skye one day!

I'm so glad you had such brilliant weather as the views are truly stunning when you can see. However my step son benefited from the opposite - a pea souper all the way from the style at the start. He is terrified of heights but wasn't fazed when he couldn't see the drops. Navigation was definitely interesting.
@paulmuir2184 Жыл бұрын
Not gonna lie mate that looked bloody horrific - dont know if i’d have the bottle to do some of the Skye peaks, really not a fan of heights but tbh i’ve not done any yet with a great deal of exposure.. might handle it better in the moment, will need to give it a bash 👀🤣 scenery and video as always is brilliant!

Well done James.... A great video, it brings back memories of soloing the Ridge in just over 13 hours.... Surprised the guide took you on the TD gap with no prior rock climbing experience, well done on that 👍

Amazing footage and well done for managing this and putting it all together, can sense the concentration you have while talking to the camera, The TD gap was gripping, very well edited, the music was a perfect fit, conditions were incredible and I relived my own experience there,excited for the next video.

Well done. You had the best weather for views. It’s a fantastic round of three isn’t it. TD gap initially seems improbable but pleased you found it so enjoyable though challenging. Great videoing, not as easy to video and scramble.

Wonderful video James, thank you for sharing it. What stunning weather you had and what fantastic views you got. The TD gap looked interesting as an approach to Sgurr Alasdair. Interested in your choice of route there, was that to avoid ascending via the Great Stone Shoot? I am very much looking forward to your next video.
@ScottishMunroJourney Жыл бұрын
Thanks Jonathan, no the TD gap is usually just bypassed on approach to Alisdair from this direction - we just thought we would do it as the conditions are fantastic 😁 the great stone chute was a great way to descend alasdair, the quick way down 😂 Cheers, James

Oh yes. Great to see Skye at last. Super footage as always! I stayed at Sligachan campsite when I went last year and got my first taste of Scottish midges. Drove down to Glenbrittle one day and might well stay there next time even though it's remote. Are there routes up to the peaks that don't require roping/a helmet/a guide?
