Glad to hear they moved it up. I just hope that this doesn't delay or impede the long overdue 410/35 project. I have to sit on the highway in front of Cowboy's Dancehall every day about 4:30 PM. I deal with it but I'd rather be sitting INSIDE Cowboy's 😁

That project (I-35 NEX) is fully funded and already underway, so I can't see a scenario where this project would interfere with that one.

They have surprisingly been making great progress on this stretch... I drive it every day and am impressed how quickly its coming along.... Now the Culebra expansion between 211 and Galm has been painfully and frustratingly slow. Do you have any updates on that area? Recently had a fatal accident there I believe construction barricades exacerbated the accident...

The Culebra expansion is a joint-bid project with CPS and SAWS. They're replacing most of their underground utilities there, and that's the current work underway. Since it's underground work, you don't see most of it, but it is progressing. However, it's difficult and time-consuming to do that work while (a) maintaining utility service, and (b) maintaining traffic through the area.

Any info on when 151 will extend to Talley Rd?

There are no plans to extend 151 past 1604. The extension of Alamo Ranch Pkwy to Talley will be done by developers as they build out the area.

@@TexasHighwayMan Do you think developers will prioritize this expansion since the congestion on Culebra is so bad?

Not likely. Developers typically build new roads at the point they're needed to provide access to their new developments. There's no incentive for them to do it before then. The county could work with the developer to expedite it or maybe extend it further than required to fill in a missing gap (which they did recently on the Montgomery Rd. extension), but I haven't heard any discussion of that with ARP.
