From someone with access to P-Bandai shf has been increasing prices. Before it was usually $50 for most figures. Now it’s $65-70 at the low end.

This is why preordering through Japan based stores like AmiAmi and Hobby Genki is always the best option when buying these figures. BBTS always price gouges and I don’t see that ever changing. Pbandai tries to play the middle man by offering retail prices but then turns around and limits their market by making it region exclusive while also facing delays. You can never win with those two sites. For those who’re avid collectors of this line and don’t want to over pay, it’s important to PRE ORDER figures from Japan based sites. Most of them offer retail prices and you get them on launch date.

I recommend importing figures directly from Japan if you're not in the states, the current yen conversion rates will make it WAY cheaper for you

@@revengeofthesith. I pre ordered my second form frieza from hobby genki. The figure ends up being the same price as pbandais price with shipping included and you get it earlier since Japan gets the figures a month or more early

Shf has been increasing their prices yet the quality has been decreasing. There have been a lot of qc issues most recently Namek gohan.

I had a feeling that once Tamashii really hit their stride with the S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball line that the prices would skyrocket. I don't mind the price hike, what I care about is the quality of the figures. I was finally able to get Super Saiyan Kefla for $19 over retail and despite seeing many reviews on the poor quality I still wanted it in my collection. I was lucky enough to get a copy that had tight joints and so far, no limbs falling off. But the hair sculpt has a few tiny chunks in the top bang and an actual piece of lint molded on the side of the hair 😤 Before Bandai/Tamashii raises the price for these figures they first need to raise their quality control standards 💯💯

I recommend buying them from Hobby-genki if you’re not from the US.When ever its a premium Bandai exclusive BBTS buys them and resells them for a high price.

This I worried me because I’m planning to get my first sh Goku and I’m still decoding between super hero Goku or super saiyan, I’m leaning toward super hero at the moment though

Yeah the 14-year-old example I am 15 and it true I save a lot of money on these fig and parents hate it but I just can’t resist figures are too good but from now on I’ll just be picking up the essentials like any z fighter if possible or a prominent villain or a really good side character 😢

Another thing of note is that although bbts has pbandai figures and ships overseas they charge a big makeup on said pbandai figures. This Gohan was $92 on bbts and $60 on pbandai. $60 is Still steep for a smaller figure. Bbts charging alot isn’t new either. You can compare all the pbandai figures price on pbandai and on bbts and every pbandai figure on bbts is marked up usually by at least $30. Bbts has also done the same with sdcc/event exclusives.

Yeah. I’m 14 and I have a job but it’s still hard to afford my favorite characters. I don’t own a single figure cause I’m having to actually save every dime to buy cell saga vegeta and a trunks figure because I want my first figure to be my two favorite characters

I live in Europe and I can’t believe the price you have in North America. In Europe, The following prices are all with shipping for the last figures released, Pan is 40 dollars, vegeta 28 dollars, Trunks 47 dollars… I don’t know why, but the prices in Japan and Europe are practically the same thing, but in America is around 30% up.

This is the main reason I prefer dragon stars over figurats because there prices are not only cheaper but also consistent ever figure has the same msrp weirder it’s someone like cabba who doesn’t use much plastic or full power broly who uses a ton more plastic they are both the exact same price one is not more expensive than the other

Tbh I’m really surprised BBTS are selling the gammas for $115. I live in the uk and got them for £60 each! It’s disappointing that someone like kid gohan is getting sold for $90. BBTS is a pure tip off

What if you wanted a cool character or a bad guy that isn't from Z but tamashii said... US P-bandai exclusive. (Like I understand stuff like the Ginyus, or henchman, or outfit variants make sense for those to be P-bandai. But like, there's simply too many releases that are stuck in P-bandai hell)

At target I can them for $35 and still that’s a dung ton of money for a figure which sometimes can be wiggly as hell and just looking at these prices if I asked someone to buy me one they are gonna be like “ this kids parents spoil him too much “ plus sometimes they don’t even have a lot of Accessories. This has to stop I even looked on their sight and all of them were $60 or more and at Amazon dude they were $200 if you collect Dbz figuarts toys and want them cheap just comment and I will tell you where I get them at I am just shocked

These prices are getting ridiculous and I think these prices are getting shot up is because of resellers. Bbts and tamashi seeing these figures that were retail for 40-100$ being sold at 150$-2000$ so they probably realizing that putting the prices up won’t matter cause people will still buy them and resell them for even more later on it’s like a cycle. (TAMASHI DOES NOT CARE AT ALL WE ALL KNOW THIS)

Nope. I suggest considering all angles before making these types of comments. BBTS was my standard until kinder subscribers just let me know about Japanese alternatives. Furthermore, I dropped a community post prior to this video explaining what it'd be about (the snip of that post is literally in the video). Prices have increased regardless so I'm not sure what your argument is...Please, come off your emotional high horse and use better language if you'd like to express an opinion on mine as well as other creator's content.
